Sorry, that’s a cop out. And it doesn’t win you world cups

By all means, play aggressive cricket. But play the situation at times.

Well yeah of course, got the feeling if they were only chasing 214 in a World Cup important game, they would have played differently, but games like these they need to keep playing their attacking game to make sure continue to play positive cricket, they will always be times when it does not come off.

But like I say most of time for them blokes it does.

Hilarious

He played 2 absolutely dreadful shots

What a touchy fucker

Yes he did play 2 terrible shots I don't think anyone would disagree with that. We have an abundance of aggressive players who are encouraged to play the way they do. In a couple of games his knock will probably win a game, or Stokes, or Ali or Roy or Hales etc and along the way there will more nights like this. I doubt there will also be much sleep lost but you are right to make the point that there are times when better game management is needed.

Not touchy at all

Good day out as usual.

All bowled well

f***ing brainless from Bairstow, Modern and Buttler with the bat. It was easy so holing out again is pathetic.

Well batted Root, Morgan and Willey
Ali quicker pace makes him a good ODI bowler as the batsman has to force the issue and try to score off him. TMS were saying the his record hasn't been great but I think that he does a good job when not taking wickets and you can buy more wickets in that format also.

No shit Sherlock. Limped over the line against a weak Australian second XI.

So the performance doesn't count as long as you win...never cease to be amazed by the genius on this forum.
We are very good at home you can't play well all the time

People are wetting the bed a bit too much about our aggressive approach. I love it. Its got us to number 1. Yes we will have a few failures and poor shots. But hey ho. I'd much rather watch this than our previous meek shite.

I like both our spin twins and think they might have been disregarded a tad early in tests. Shiter players have had longer leaner spells in tests. Morgan says they are getting better and better. Rash has taken the 2nd most ODI wickets since last WC 2015.

Im reading the BBC sports comments. Surprised with how many people having a go aty Ali. He got 3 out of the top 5 batters out and scored more that roy, hales and buttler combined. He also got MOTM.

Wickets 1-5 usually decide if a one day game is won.

6-10 sometimes fail to get over the line and those players then get highly criticised for "not getting over the line" or " not playing the situation".

The top order get off scot free and anyone who has had a go at modern for the Scots result or the relative fall over the line v Australia wants to have a look further up the order.

Spot on Carty.

One of my cousins has a proper bee in his bonnet about Ali. Singling him out every time he gets out. Says him and Rashid are no where near England standard. I have to take the juxtaposition every time bigging them up. If I didnt know him any better I'd say he was a raging Klan member.
