I know, but he is ours, local and has put in the odd decent performance
I'd rather try and develop him than play a loanee, this is what Durham is all about.

It does look like Pringle is finished at DCCC. I hope I'm proven wrong but not getting a go in that squad says to me they've seen enough and it's time to move on.
I'm assuming he's was kept here during the winter to work on his spinning which does appear to have improved. His batting appears to have regressed. Daddy tons in the 2nd and he can't be ignored.
We haven't loaned a spinner in though, so that's irrelevant.
Looks like Trevaskis will be playing instead of him, unless you think we should be playing 2 spinners at the Riverside. That would be out of the box thinking

This is the point re pringle vs loanees.
Also re: loanees, they come from their county seconds or lower, they haven't been playing to this standard and they're expected to move to another county and step up straight-away. Maybe if they have time to settle a bit they'll show what they can do but they don't get the time so it's tough on them.
Also re pringle, we have Smith to bowl the odd over and Steel who has had some success with his leggies.
