Striker
Starting tomorrow.

Cameron Steel made captain in place of the injured Collingwood. Carse, Potts and Weighell also out injured, while Poynter and McCarthy are away with Ireland.

Squad:

Cameron Steel (c), Tom Latham, Will Smith, Graham Clark, Gareth Harte, Michael Jones, Ryan Davies (wk), Liam Trevaskis, Nathan Rimmington, Josh Coughlin, Chris Rushworth, Matt Salisbury, Gavin Main

So now then WHED and Johnson, would you care to retract your criticism of Lewis and the club for not giving home grown lads an opportunity?

Atleast one of Coughlin, Trevaskis and Main will DEFINITELY play.

We are Evens, they are 4/5.

Who's Michael Jones? edit - just googled, young Scottish lad

I thought a certain know it all would know McCarthy would be away and others injured what do you think the team will be

Cameron Steel
Tom Latham
Will Smith
Graham Clark
Gareth Harte
Michael Jones
Ryan Davies
Nathan Rimmington
Josh Coughlin
Chris Rushworth
Matt Salisbury

If we hadn't have loaned Salisbury, we'd have had to play Main and we would have had ZERO fit and available seamers left to pick from.

Is Pringle injured good to see a few young batters in the mix hopefully take there chance might see if I can pop down Monday if I can persuade the old man.

@GordonMuchallNo1Fan thought you would know the Irish lads were away

If Pringle isn't injured then the writing is on the wall for him if he can't make that squad.

Would like to see Jones given a chance as he's impressed me when I've seen him in the 2nds.

I'll be there for the duration of the game....however long that is.

I might go Monday if it's still on:lol:

I'm surprised, I wouldn't thought Smithy as he's the one with experience.

I wonder who will keep wicket. Aye Latham is there but isn't one of those new lads a wicky??
True about Smith but i think giving Steel the captaincy is a promising move and I'd like to see him have that for the rest of the season. Davies will keep wicket tomorrow

I thought Jones was in the Scotland ODI squad. Obviously not. Nice to see Trevaskis getting a go. I would play him ahead of Salisbury or Coughlin.

Going down for the start as Spenny II have a free week. Might offer my services, given the XI, currently on 15 wickets for spit. Must have a chance.

Re: Pringle, he's playing for Brandon tonight and tomorrow and as Trevaskis is in the squad as the spin option it doesn't look good for his career.

Not the first time this year the club have halted the lads development. Got pissed about in the winter. Shame but it's very clear he has little future at Durham

He was in the Scotland squad so presumably withdrawn with Scotland's approval
