I went to a helluva lot of England home games between 83-90. Don’t think I ever saw a club shirt apart from mag ones. There’s got to be some psychological reason for them but what it is I’ve no idea.
Even if they aren't wearing the shirt, you can identify the daft bastards by the way they boo Henderson / Pickford even Welbeck. Give it a f***ing rest.
Surely when we’re all supporting England our tribal tendencies are forgotten, for a few weeks like. I’m speaking for myself here!Anyone been to England games and bumped into Mags and vise versa
How did yous get on ?
Never ever been to an England game so cant offer an experience.
Both lostDid the jocks or mutants win?
I certainly didn’t boo the fucker down Wembley versus Poland(granted a spurs player)I live over that way so unfortunately i bump into them all the time. I usually bounce half a mile afterwards mind.
Cos we cheered Townsend like![]()
Audio that bores you, wherever you areWill read again!
In fact is it available on Audible?
You make it sound like the two sets of fans never see each other and are always separated by a police escort.
Yes. St Etienne before the Slovakia game in Euro 2016 (well didn't actually "bump into them" as in talking to them) they were singing 4-1 Albert Luque song. Few wolves fans weren't to happy about it.
Also ended up getting locked in a pub full of tear gas in Lille with a load of Boro, they were decent tbf.

Not England but I go to every Scotland game with two mags and another Mackem, we then meet up with Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, secco, Patrick Thistle and Buckie fans, we don’t have any grief conversations at all pretty much know its not the time or place as others don’t give a fuck about English football.

I saw plenty like. The no club shirts thing is for old blokes stuck in the past. The only club shirts I saw at the last Euros were a Newcastle and (strangely) a Celtic one
Wholeheartedly agree with this though. To truly enjoy an international tournament, keep contact with England fans down to a bare minimumWent to see England v Andorra away but didnt see or talk to any mags. The whole experience was a lesson in why the English are hated abroad. Was ashamed to be english seeing the arrogant, loutish behaviour of the fans and the complete disrespect they showed towards the locals.
