I'm meeting him tomorrow. He is visiting the school I teach in to talk to young cricketers etc. I don't know what to say really. I might just ask him if he wants a cup of tea.
Take some rum in for him!

Without sounding too morbid this is the sort of thread title, just a legend of the game's name, that makes you (well me anyway) think. Shit.

Thankfully it's not what I feared

Very jealous here although I'd also struggle to know what to say. Have fun.

Anyone see Bumble on SKY at the weekend when they were doing the greatest county overseas eleven?
He was going to burst a vein when anyone suggested he might not be in

Ask him what he thinks of @3.142 never bowling me again for the Year 9 side after getting four wickets in four balls at Framwellgate Moor.

Still seething.
first ball = caught at mid wicket by yours truly off a long hop.
second ball = done with the one that goes straight on
third ball = done with the one that goes straight on
fourth ball = done with the one that goes straight on.

Let you take the glory on the day and not spoil your career figures after after that.

Yes a true gent as you would expect. I didn’t speak to him much just shook his hand and told him it was my privilege and he said the pleasure was all his etc. Talked to the wider group about the game today and while he would have been ideally suited to the shorter form he wouldn’t have swapped. A nice experience meeting a true legend of the game

Class, nice one mate.

What's the crack with the school trip? How many cricket teams/ matches?

We just had a trip to the Western Terrace surrounded by pissheads back in the day!

I don't even know  Gav Cree (you might know him) is organising it from our end under WhickhamSchool2020 sports tour but there was as many girl students there as lads. I saw Sir Gaz talk for a bit but had to go off and teach when they were talking about the trip details.
