I absolutely agree. Of course there's personal circumstances like work, finances, distance etc but if you can make it to the stadium and can afford to do it I don't see why any genuine SAFC fan wouldn't buy a season card. There's positivity, hope, and the chance that we might actually get a side worth watching for the first time in a long time. We've got passionate, communicative owners and a manager who isn't just on the gravy train waiting for a pay off and who needs to make this work. I'm probably more excited for this season than I have been for most premier league seasons where we go into it knowing we're making up the numbers. 25000 should be easily achievable tbh
Fingers crossed. The likes of Rodwell, Khazri, Kone and O’Shea being peddled for young hungry and capable league one/championship players will add another 2000 to the tally imo.

This was the whole point of the 20,000 season ticket goal, to actually suprass last season's numbers. I can't find it, but 18,000 was definitely the official number for last season.

But you need to add it up, we haven't lost 6000 season ticket holders mate, all the evidence suggests people are coming back than going away. The massive ques at the ticket office, the people on here saying they're going back, all adds to the fact numbers are going up, not down.

Fair enough, I'll take your word for it mate. Just seems low considering even on a Tuesday night game against Norwich when we were at a pretty low ebb we got 24,900 officially. They didn't bring many so I'm quite amazed that we had about 6,000 match day ticket sales for that one. I'd assumed we had 20 something thousand season card holders and the 20,000 target for this season was just set because it was an achievable target from a starting point of 17,000.

Bit of a random question but is it the East Stand that gets the sun? Am thinking this might help when it's bloody freezing as our little lads no good with the cold. I'm tempted with a season ticket for us both as I've some great memories as a kid when we were winning games in the old third division!
Yes, it is. Can mean your view is 'dazzled' too mind.

Is it 19000 yet ?

A good season and we’ll average over 30k I reckon. Didn’t City average 30k in league one ??

Doesn’t mean all the card holders turned up.

No but our official attendances were including all season card holders whether they turned up or not. So if we had 18,000 season card holders they all counted in that 24,900. Don't think Norwich had any more than 1000 so we got nearly 6,000 paying on the day for Norwich on a Tuesday night? Still can't see it myself like! I'd assumed it was more like 21000 season card holders or so, they all count even if not there, plus a thousand or so away fans and then a couple of thousand match day sales. Doesn't matter much like, I'd just love us to beat last seasons sales
