Fair enough. When we took him on, he'd only managed part-time teams. We only had four points by late December but we survived on the last day. This season, we've utterly strolled the league (we were crowned league champions before Celtic, Wolves and Man City...) - easily beating Dundee United who had a budget way in excess of ours.

I guess just back him and see where it gets you. If it's not working out by November you can bin him and get a big name in. ;)

Mind I watched Dundee United play the other week and couldn't believe it when Scott McDonald was leading the line

Got to be about promotion at least this season?

I'm hoping they romp it as much as you, I just don't know how much of a shitfest he has on the playing side, he only stayed up right at the death in his 1st season at St Mirren and set himself the target of winning the league the next season against some clubs with significantly bigger budgets, if the makings of a title winning team are there you can bet your boots Ross isn't aiming for 2nd or 3rd.

Considering we were relegated with a couple of games to spare, the majority of the players want away and we're going to need to bring in a team full of players just to bolster the numbers, I find it surprising how many people 'expect' us to walk the league in the coming season. League One isn't a brilliant standard, but we find ourselves at this level for a reason.

It is fantastic to have two very ambitious forward thinking people in Management team Jack Ross and visit our exclusive club for a few days. Jack is Manager of the year and first thing he does is get his notepad out

They are definitely ambitious and it could work, it is a gamble, he has my full support

I am interested to see how he deals with players who he cant shift, that is the toughest part of the job at the minute at Sunderland, if they can't be sold, then someone needs to get a tune out of them
