Not nationally. You lot find daft things like phone boxes and horses amusing. Certainly not as much as getting beat at home to the likes of Burton and Barnsley in an empty stadium to be relegated to league 1. Or to be known as a team that loses the most games in the country. Like I say that's not me saying that you say it yourselves how much of a joke you have been and the new owner also said as much.
I think you'll find when you where giving your own town the treatment and lacking horses the rest of the country, including non football people, where pissing themselves laughing.

Why wouldn't we? From Edinburgh down to Leeds we are the 2 main clubs in the most passionate football area of the country.

To be honest I was never that bothered about Sunderland, wanted you to lose but that was it. I never even read this board until may 2016. The way you went on when we went down though just made me want to see you fall as low as possible and for our roles to be flipped on there head as much as they could be.

That side of it couldn't of gone any better from our point of view. I did say to all the mackems I know that we're griefing me that we would he back mid table pl in a couple of years and you would be mid table championship.

Did it really upset you the the way we went on when you went down in 2016 ?
Awwww

Utter drivel and rewriting of history. Especially this bit:

Quite astonishingly, 46,000 Mackems would turn up every week to cheer on Kevin Phillips, Niall Quinn, Thomas Sorensen and Michael Gray. Such was the calibre of their most successful team since 1973, while we were chasing the premier league title.

So in those two seventh place finishes the Mags were chasing the Premier League title?

Even the following season when we finished 17th the Mags finished fourth and were way off challenging.

I think deep down many of the Mags are frustrated that they didn't get to play a part in our demise. We relegated them, rub their noses in it. It hurt them really bad. We then went to shit and they've been gloating ferociously ever since. But they didn't play a part at all in our demise and that's what's bothering them.

Also with Short leaving and being debt free with a new ownership they're annoyed that our slide down the leagues has ended and its likely to get better for us.

Yes it did. What's happened in the 2 years since has more than made up for it though and it couldn't of gone any better. I knew you would be down the following season but I didn't see you falling straight out the bottom
of the pub league as well.

If you were in our position and we were somehow in league 1 I can't even imagine the way you lot would be going on!

That’s some f***ing read that like. I take it the lads not a full shilling?

Bringing books out called let's all laugh at Newcastle?

Aye he was a idiot. All down to Ashley making idiotic decisions though and that's just off the field stuff. Nobody will admit to what a horrible club we were from 2013 until Benitez came. Just a bad few years all down to Ashley's stupid decisions.

We've never been known nationally as a football team that constantly loses and is used to failure as Sunderland are
Aye you were known nationally as a laughing stock, when Ashley first took over you thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Fast forward a couple of years later, haha even wor lass was pissing herself.

Poor old Bobby get a slating because he struggled with names. Imagine being like that in your 60s. Still, at least he knew how to organise a side. You've had plenty of managers recently who couldn't even get the basics right.
Aye the same Bobby you wanted shot of for getting you into Europe. Totally deluded.

All down to him and his idiotic decisions and appointments. Done a great job though according to all you lot on here. Aye a good job of making a mess of NUFC. Not surprised you all love him. That was his actions off the pitch though.

Never had constant embarrassment on the pitch like you lot even back under Bob Murray in the 15 and 19 point seasons

"Not nationally". You were The fuckng laughing stock of the whole country when Kinnear was in charge man.

I don't think anyone views our last season as a "joke" other than your set of daft bastards.

If losing six in a row to your bitter rivals isn't an embarrassment I don't know what is.

Imagine the impression it gave off to visiting fans coming to Sunderland and seeing 30,000 empty seats and litter all over the place. No wonder all the teams who go to Sunderlands fans all stay and drink in Newcastle for there weekend.

Daft bastards for thinking that's a joke? You lot were pissing yourselves about "enjoy Burton" imagine if we got relegated out the pub league by them! It would of been the ultimate for you.

They are deluded as fuck man

That was a disgrace can't defend that 6 in a row. All youse have to cling too though. We did 5 in a row before that and had a top team to go with it

Its no surprise you have no mates. Sad twat

I was in Colorado at the time and my American friends couldn't understand why a man would want to punch a horse. After the bafflement passed they were showing all their pals the video and having a jolly good giggle about it.

This pub league, the same one you got relegated to twice in ten years, or was it just a dream.

Nobody is obsessed with anybody. It's the only 2 main clubs in a large area. Been local rivals and will of had work colleagues families etc supporting both clubs for decades, bound to always be rivalry and comparisons. Especially in such a passionate football area.

When we went down it made your year, you went on more about that than we did about you getting relegated out the pub league at home to Burton in front of thousands upon thousands of empty seats.

Sunderland have lost more games than anyone else in the last 10 years apparently and even your fans and new owners say that it's a club used to abject failure and been a laughing stock. We have won f all but we haven't been getting humiliated most weeks and an almost 10 year relegation battle finishing up with been battered out of the bottom of the pub league by Burton and Ipswich Barnsley etc.

Currently it's a long, long way back for you to rival us in any aspect on or off the pitch though.

If you had 10 top 6 premier league finishes and 100 plus European games then maybe you lot would be the same? I'm certain if we never once made the top 6 or played in Europe then we would be the same as you are expectation wise.

Manure genuinely were our rivals in the past though as we were competing for pl titles and fa cup finals against them as well as against Barcelona in the cl. I have never heard a Newcastle fan say that in the last 15 years though.

When I and I'm sure most Newcastle fans think of Sunderland all that comes to mind is 5 in a row, an empty stadium and league 1.
we will always be better than you fuckers off the pitch we are not deluded arseholes one your lot and as for the rival shit :lol: f***ing Man Utd would give you a second thought ... f***ing deluded beyond belief

It was on here it was first called a pub league. The pub league that we won and pissed all over twice as well.

We haven't had half the relegations that you lot have had in the last 20 odd year! We have had spells of been shit. You have had a lot of spells of been spectacularly shit
