The manager is absolutely key like everyone is saying.
League 1 will not be a cake walk and it is not the case that any numpty could help us walk it.
So important we get it right but they know that.
In "The Don" and "Charlie Charles" I trust.
most half decent managers should get us promoted

All sounds good and I hope we don't get too carried away with having a big budget.

It's nice having money but money is what attracted all of the gutless, spineless, mercenaries to the club that started the rot.

This..any money must be spent wisely..

Agreed. The fans (as did I) wanted Martin O'Neill!..

Building bridges & togetherness just become buzzwords once we start winning a decent amount of games tho... As long as we're doing well on the pitch, the rest falls into place.

For most people anyway.
Was I the only one who didn't want O Neill, especially when I heard that John Robertson wasn't coming along for the ride, too. Much like Cloughie without Peter Taylor!

"However, when asked which three people, living or dead, would make up his ideal dinner party, his answer was: “Margaret Thatcher; Stephen Fry; Graham Ward (my tutor at university who is now Regius Professor of Divinity at Oxford)"

Charlie out.

sorry if seb and that.

Apparently it’s Scotch mate, or Scots!
Perhaps you can offer some guidance here?

I'll bite! Scotch is a great windup, about effective as suggested someone only makes the ships while someone else fits the carpets and curtains. Beef and Whisky marra. Scots v Scottish - you know I've never thought about it, same thing I'd reckon.
