Instead of speculating and doing what all of these journalists do, wait patiently and see what happens.
No one new nearly three weeks ago on Sunday, Coleman would be sacked and Short agrees to sell the club.
Good things come to those who wait

There is a deed of assignment as part of the loan security. However, they can't take the payments before they fall due. If Short has cleared all the debt, then the deed of assignment will disappear with it. It could only be applied if the SBC loan is still in place after completion, and Short has only written off the intra-group loans. Even then, it would be very much a last resort measure by SBC if they felt the loan was irrecoverable by any other means. It's inconceivable, given the materiality of this loan, that it won't be dealt with fully in the purchase agreement.
Just read this after I posted a reply GOM.

Yes but this place would prefer a good complicated conspiracy theory rather than accept the easy straightforward solution.

Of course Short could make no comment when he left. He had obviously made his contribution and the meeting was still going on. If his departute signified that the deal was off what are the others still doing.?If the EFL could not agree to the takeover don't you think Short would be still in there fighting his corner.man wants to sell the Club

Here’s an idea.

We don’t know any of the details or what is being said in the meeting. Neither do we have any influence in the deal.

It’s a nice day outside with a nice weekend on the cards, so why not just chill kick back open a can/bottle in the garden, walk the dog on the beech and take the wife out for a meal.

Then just wait until we have some real news. Life is to short to get wound up over things we can’t influence.
