Done some good work with average players, got them up easily last season, good finish to 10th this year and has the ability to reach beyond that level. Good manager.

Took them down too, let’s not forget that badge while we are showering him with accolades.

Clearly a very good manager is probably the reason  getting that squad to 10th is a fantastic achievement, anyone disputing that is purely through bias like.

Has at present done a pretty good job with them in all honesty. Getting them 10th and away from trouble was a good effort. Wish we had a manager who could have done that.
Or an owner with the savvy and wherewithal to recruit someone like him in the first place. If those lunatics up the road had more than a tenuous grip on reality they would realise this. Open question to all morlocks, whom was it that hired Jaffa the hutt?

Who was it? Benitez approached Newcastle about the role, dealt with Charnley, was signed off on by Ashley.
It's not like Ashley's scoured the planet looking for the right man and then convinced him to join us. This is the same bloke who signed off on Keegan, Kinnear, Shearer, Hughton, Pardew, Carver and McClaren.

Aye this.

Because he was once classed as a very good manager years ago when he used to win the odd trophy, they see him as some sort of proof that they are indeed a big club.

Even if he had taken them down this season (like he did the last time) he would have still done a 'great job' and the failure would not have been his fault.
Very true. Primarily because they've gone too far down the road of muffing his arse to turn back now without making themselves look even more stupid than they do now.

TLDR
Fuck off.
