Passport renewal

Need to renew my little girls passport, how long does the normal application take ? (website says 3 weeks ) , might go 1 week fast track if necessary

Wouldn't do the fast track unless you are going away really soon. 2 weeks max i rekcon

Got my last one in under a week without paying extra. I think this depends on the time of year you apply, though, or so I've heard.

Aye I got mine and daughter's back within a week. Around march time.

Just renewed mine online took a week, easy to do as well get the photo on a memory stick and post the old passport straightaway they do not start the process till they received it

3 weeks is pretty much max it'll take.
More likely be around half that time

You can't do that for a child passport sadly.

Mine came this morning. Less than 7 days from receiving my old passport back

Did my renewal by the digital online service, heard nowt 2 weeks later, rang them up and they reckoned they had recieved my envelope that was supposed to contain my old one but envelope was empty. Certainly wasnt, so the stupid gets obviously lost it. Had to start again from scratch via the lost passport route.

You can't do that for a child passport sadly.

Did mine in Feb. Took six days. I'd allow for a bit more though the closer it gets to summer.

Mine took about 9 days from handing the forms in to the shanghai office to getting the passport back - much quicker than I expected

Or postman plod has nicked it and has set up credit cards etc in your name
