I'm more than certain that I know the running of my club better than you. I can say without question that Ashley is despised at our great club. From the tea lady to Corporate members and even management/coaching staff absolutely hate the bloke. He's a billionaire Del Trotter. A con man. Whether we win lose or draw we will never change that opinion. We have a fantastic manager who not only knows football inside out but is also a brilliant diplomat. When you lot come out with your jealous crap regarding Ashley/Rafa it's just bitter made up lies.
do you like the fact Ashley saved your "great" club from financial ruin and now has you on a sound financial footing?

be carefull what you wish for.

Ashley. He brought you Rafa Benitez. Keep hating him though. And if Ashley is so heavily despised throughout the club as is often reported, then surely Benitez should have avoided Newcastle like the plague?

right o man, hooligan number one :D, ya story is very unbeliveable though, come on son its just a fantasy isnt it
What a thoroughly embarrassing post.
So having pals makes me "hooligan number one"?
Gan ta bed man ffs.

I apologise for interrupting this high level debate (it's like Plato v Socrates, most enlightening, if a little frightening) but two unconnected points occur to me:
(1) this post is now 156 pages long, the size of a novella - I'm not helping anar, in fact, I'm perpetuating the claptrap -but it's high time it was knocked on the heed, this being our board & folk (myself included) getting a bit weary of the obsessive Scotch sniping & schadenfreude ad nauseam; and
(2) as my parting shot I did like the fat Spaniard crowing about his top ten achievement whilst conveniently omitting to mention that they finished a mere 56 points behind the winners.

Goodnight to all genuine football fans & as for the remaining sludge, may your god go with you.

Wood signed for £15m last summer. Barnes was rumoured to Chelsea and Palace for a similar fee. Austin, meanwhile, has been linked to loads of your rivals. So aye, they would have been available "in this market".

Get your point of putting their goal totals in brackets to prove that they aren't 10-15 goal strikers, while ignoring that Wood and Austin have a goal/game ratio that would put them in that category and my initial point, which was that they would have been a significant upgrade.

End of the day those three players did little better than Joselu this season and would have cost three times as much (plus wages). I don't think it's unreasonable to say that Barnes and Austin would be a significant upgrade on Joselu in terms of talent, but there's a reason we didn't sign them (I don't remember ever even being linked with them). Under Ashley we tend to shop in the bargain bin and balancing the needs of the squad as a whole means that we've got to spread the costs around.

Because Ashley has you well ran spending only what you can afford. If Rafa was capable of developing players he would be signing players to grow and improve.

Benitez has developed players. Even in his relatively short tenure he's brought on the games of Lascelles, Shelvey, Dummett, Perez. He surely signed Murphy with a view to developing him, plus the young lads we picked up from Arsenal and a couple of youth prospects from Spain.

Trouble is the youth system has been neglected for so long that there aren't many prospects of our own, and lads who do have genuine promise, like Lewis Gibson, correctly want to put their faith in tried and tested youth setups at Everton.

Ah, the old mag post of someone being “angry”.

Can you comment on your claim that if mag topics weren’t on this forum you wouldn’t be here? Or have you just ignored that question and link to prove you’re full of shit?
Sorry for the late reply, was away for the weekend.
I couldn't read the link, was a dead page when I click on it.
I wouldn't say there would be none here but I would think there would be less. Many find there way here because of a post made about our club and stay.

How the fuck would they know their was a post about their club unless the sad bastards were already here?

Cracking piss take on his name, thanks for reminding us.

At the time it was apt and funny

Let's see what these 24/7 resident Mags can come up with now that's as good ..... I'm sure it'll be absolutely hilarious and original

A Newcastle fan on here will repost in on a Newcastle board, or on twitter. (Just as Sunderland fans will post stuff on here that they've seen on twitter, or in a fanzine or on a message board).

Is that because you have absolutely no free will and believe you're coming on here to 'right wrongs' and defend the good name of Newcastle?

Really man, that old excuse of 'being forced to come here because of a post' is infantile in the extreme.

Can you honestly not see how ridiculous that looks

Because there are often posts on Newcastle boards taking the piss out of what you lot are saying about us with the thread linked. Take something like the, is Grayson better than Rafa thread, that's going to appear in a Newcastle board with the title "look what the stupid bastards are saying now". Sometimes they appear on newsnow newcastle as well.

I hate to start a thread about them but I think I've missed something.Im reading and hearing more and more about their successful season, what have they won or what competition have they qualified for? I'm thinking their success is in keeping Benitez there for another season that's what they deem to be success, how else can you explain a mid table finish for a club without a title for over 90 years and the cup for over 60 years.Delusional lambs to the slaughter each year, at least we know we are shit on and off the pitch.
