Season 16-17
Player Goals Club Cost

Defoe - 15 goals - Sunderland (swap deal worth £6m)
King - 15 goals -Bournmouth (free)
Vardy - 13 goals - Leicester (£1m)
Deeney -10 goals - watford (500k)
Vokes - 10 goals - Burnley (350k)

Season 15-16

Vardy - 24 goals - Leicester (£1m)
Mahrez - 17 goals - leicester (750k)
Deeney - 13 goals - Watford (500k)
Arnautovic - 11 goals - Stoke (£2m)
Mane - 11 goals -southampton (£10m)

And this season

Vardy - 18 goals - Leicester (£1m)
Murray - 12 goals - Brighton (300k)
Mahrez - 11 goals - Leicester (750k)
Milivojevic - 10 goals - Palace (£12m)

Got to admit theres a lot there to admire in your wanting to prove a point. Though the fact that Leicester turned down over £50 million from Man City for Mahrez suggests he wasnt available for the £10-£15 million price range on which judgements are being made. And in finding only 4 players in the whole of the Premier this season who did cost less than the price range only highlights how difficult it is surely.

But I thought your Rafa was meant to be some sort of genius.

Or are you saying that he's just yet another manager who likes to throw money at things?

Why do the Mags keep bleating on about Ashley not spending more money, it's really quite embarrassing

From August 2017.

"Ashley admitted he simply cannot afford to fund the kind of overhaul his manager would like. Asked how much money he could give the manager, Ashley said,
“Not enough. It’s very simple: it’s not enough, and Rafa knows that. It’s not enough. It’s not a secret. Every penny the club generates, he can have, but it won’t generate enough. I don’t want the fans to watch this interview and think: ‘That’s great, Rafa is getting £150m in the morning’ - he’s not."

How many would Mitrovic score in a PL side set up to score goals?

On a par with Xisco I'd imagine.
Did he sing the thong song?

I had to laugh reading the newcastle fans comments Chronicles article on our supposed (likely BS) £25 million interest in Lascelles:

"Why would he go to Everton?"

"Sideways step move at best"

"Poor relation in Merseyside"

"£25 million that gets his right foot"

Even in our worst season since the 90's we're still 8 points ahead of the mighty NUFC :lol:

Southampton fans said the same with Koeman

Swansea fans said the same with Siggurdsson

Crystal Palace fans said the same with Bolasie

Watford fans said the same with Silva (we clearly turned his head derailing their season)

You would think that these yoyo clubs would learn to pipe down by now ;)

The yo-yo club comment is especially heart warmingly funny, the silly daft buggers.

He asked me to put up his posts. Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with the full facts before diving in feet first.
The nosey neighbour claim still stands.

  • what
  • ever
Yep proper nosey neighbour me, how very dare I post stuff about the Mags on my own teams message board. I’d be much be much less nosey posting on the message board of the Mags, day and night.

Did you're not bitch when Man Utd took Rooney, Fellaini and Lukaku?
You've a lot in common with the clubs you mentioned.
At least we accepted Pickford had to move on.

Never held a grudge with Fellaini as he was respectable about his move. Lukaku meh he gave us good service but was a dick towards the end. Was annoyed with Rooney more so for the scouse/manc thing - imagine having the countries best young talent then seeing him jump ship at the first opportunity to Newcastle who sing/ chant/hate the city said player is born and bred from.

And your missing my point - Everton fans never say its a sideways step we know only too well football is a food chain and those players were moving up it - just these clubs below us in the chain get all arsey and in denial that their player/manager moving to us isnt a step up the chain despite in every scenario said player/manager wants to leave...

So when Everton lose their best players it's okay to twist but when others do it their arsey?
You'll have totally understood Nick Barmby's decision to move up the food chain I suppose.

I thought Rooney went to Man United.

Again not getting my point so let me explain it slowly.......

We dont like our best players moving on okay? BUT!!!! we accept that they want to leave and make that step up... doesnt mean we have to like it especially if its to the Mancs or heaven forbid the vermin across the park - But we dont embarass ourselves with comments like "going to Arsenal is a sideways step" or "why would he leave us for Man utd?" We know its a step up the chain.

Right..... but Newcastle fans and the other clubs I mentioned fans were not just unhappy but claimed it wasnt a step up, Swansea fans on planet swans were saying Swansea are on Evertons level, Watford fans thought they are a bigger club than Everton, Saints fans thought Everton couldnt compete with the sizeof their club (despite everything about EFC being bigger).

Thats my point.

Wow you must really hate EFC when your backing Newcastle... our fans really have pissed on some of your chips over Big Sam Simeone havent we?:oops:

I thought Rooney went to Man United.

He did, my point was it would be like you having one of the best young players in the world come through the academy to then move to Newcastle.

He's a scouser from rough Crocky moving to a team who's fans sings feed the scousers and in your liverpool slums.

Not defending Newcastle or the other clubs. I'm attacking arrogance and hypocrisy.

Not a huge fan of Everton. No bigger than the likes of Aston Villa. They've got a bit of cash at the moment so are currently a more attractive proposition than most of the bottom half clubs, but still a million miles from the top 6. Even Wolves' odds to win the league next season are significantly shorter - 66/1 to 150/1, so soon, once they establish themselves (Wolves), 8th place will be their ceiling.

The money has certainly changed them. Coming across as Man City lite.

I dont get all this shit on radio phone ins about Rooney being an Everton legend. He achieved fuck all at Everton and was quick to leave. Don't get me wrong he is probably a Man Utd legend but Evertons?

Wolves are just all hype because they've ran away with the fizzy pop league - same as Newcastle last season who've hardly set the prem alight. Got 1 or 2 decent players through their agent connection but stick the likes of Vardy, Siggurdsson, Walcott, Lanzini and Mahrez in the championship and they'll be lighting the league up.

Kieran Dowell has been fantastic for Notts Forest this season but cant get in our currently average midfield. A fool with their money...

Not arrogance at all.

So your saying Everton isnt a step up from Newcastle, Watford or Swansea?

I'll us a very simple example - a shop assistant (Swansea) may not be moving to a managers position (top 6 club) but they are still moving up the career ladder getting a supervisor/assistant managers job (everton)

Mainly from fans of other clubs mate - no EFC fan who's got a brain will tell you he is a club legend.

A perfect quote that sums Wayne up - left too early and came back too late.

shearer, cole, owen and ferdinand...all in the top 10 premier league scorers, yip we do like to see a goalscorer :lol::lol:

Michael Owen wasn't seen as a top 10 goalscorer very often for you...screwed you for big wages and barely played in a Rodwell like way

Most other clubs fans would probably struggle to remember him playing for you, and he contributed to your financial problems that saw you relegated.

And Andy Cole fucked off to a bigger club as soon as he got the offer.

At least you got Ashley to turn your finances round...

Going fro Swamsea to Everton is a slight upgrade (you'll finish higher but still not win anything),
While moving ftom Everton to Man Utd or Liverpool is huge.
Not comparable.
You musr have laughed at our arrogance when were up in arms about Kone moving up the food chain in the summer 2016. Our mistake.

As for Rooney, got taken when it suited Man Utd, spat back out at yous when they had done with him.
