Mags in the stadium

I totally agree they shouldn't have been there, and they were certainly fair game on the day.....it's just the afters I find ridiculous. Most Mags on this thread are along the same lines, admittedly I can't be arsed to wade through Andyh's waffle.

The train of thought is that this is only a cowardly Mag sort of thing is also nonsense. As I mentioned earlier, there was half a dozen Mackems came through to SJP at night, and took a load of pics holding FTM signs, pissing on the gates etc. then plastered them all over Facebook. They were a gold mine for laughing at and photoshopping, but there was no talk of hunting the sad bastards down at all.

I drink in town at least once a week, and quite often see pissed up Mackems singing SAFC songs.....generally they're careful where they do it (student bars/gigs) but not always. Obviously they come a cropper from time to time, but it certainly does happen. After our relegation 2 years ago, I saw a pissed up lanky kid singing the 'who put ball in the Geordies net' Johnson song on Grainger Street in the middle of the day....he was also grabbing/thrusting his crotch while he was doing it, particularly classy I thought at the time.

Clever of you to realise who's the main culprit ;)

I'll be honest, I've no interest in clouting these two or tracking them down .... I wouldn't have done even when I was young, fit and daft.

But there are some crazy lads in Sunderland who wouldn't think twice and those two Mags know that.

The difference between the scenarios you describe and this one is that the imbeciles put themselves amongst Sunderland supporters on an emotional day ... it's very well saying they weren't looking for trouble but, if they'd been sussed, they'd have been attacked and would've defended themselves.

As for putting it on the internet, that's asking for trouble and some will bite.

It's akin to me going to Appleby Horse Fair, filming an insult to the McGinleys and sticking it all over social media.

If weeks, months or even years later I'm in a Darlington pub and they walk in I'd expect repercussions.

Now, as you say, none of the above scenarios are right, legal or justifiable but we all know there are some scary nutters out there.

Playing with fire is great fun but one day you're bound to get burned ... that's life I'm afraid.

Bars around the station occasionally , gigs (Academy mainly), student bars like the Lonsdale.....I live in Jesmond so heard it around here from time to time.

is the lonsdale, near the metro?

mag stronghold

i've drank around most of the bars close to central station for 10 years and never heard anything like that. even when some of the daft lads come through and drink there, i haven't heard them start any songs up.

True colours shining through you sly little man, even your fellow fans think you're a waffling no mark
No idea what you're talking about, in regard to my true colours shining through, I've never claimed to be anything other than a Newcastle fan on here.
Guilty as charged on the other bit, I know I can waffle on at times :)

What I mean is you seemed like a decent poster, if a little long winded but you've reverted to type recently with unfunny digs about Sunderland, I'm sure there's a Mag board somewhere that will lap up your anti-SAFC "jokes" but, amazingly, they're not going to prove so popular on this forum

I don't think I post much in the way of piss taking posts, I haven't took the piss much with real life Sunderland fans I know either. It's usually just a a little dig back when someone has a little dig at my club.
I don't think it's snide if someone has a dig at your club to give them a little touché back.

We'll agree to disagree then

None of this happened.

To be fair, my mate (SAFC) gets us into bother in Newcastle all of the time because of this kind of behaviour, and the rest of us (mainly all Newcastle apart from 1 other more sensible SAFC fan) have to either talk him out of a kicking or get stuck in ourselves.

i've actually been involved in an incident such as this many moons ago through Sunderland (thankfully i've grown up and tend to no longer sing football songs in town centres on a Saturday night :D ) in beach nightclub (think its a whetherspoons now?) involving myself and my mate and a few Sunderland fans and the aftershave selling toilet attendant all getting stuck in

How is that "being fair"? You're a Mag making up stories to back up another mag

That's not "being fair"
