Tin hat on but I think this could be good for our club. He did an excellent job turning around Hull and was involved in Leeds in their heyday. I know people mention Derby but they overachieved by getting to the PL, having been their only top flight season in decades. Of course the most important thing is the money men behind him but it's encouraging he has vast football experience and presumably contacts. He appears to know what he's doing and I'd much rather have him running the club than Bain.

Fair points.

To all the people who believe that getting Short out is the answer to everything ..............
Because being relegated to league one with mountains of debt is great aye?. Shorts lost all interest and he’s f***ing terrible at running a football club.

He didn't build the KC stadium tbf, the council did and still own it.
OK, but it was built in his time - overall it appears he did a fantastic job for Hull while he was there - and with Allam in charge now some would like Pearson back. I'm sure some will find ways to say he'd be bad for Sunderland but he appears to tick a lot of boxes to lead a consortium that may turn us around. He clearly has a passion for football and sport in general.

No idea. Not important. The only thing that changes is the name of the group. One is conjured up out of thin air and we never hear of it again.

Of course its important. The buyer does due diligence to ensure they are happy before agreeing terms of a deal. If they walk away its because the deal isn’t viable for them, which is down to what Short is asking for

This bloke is bad news believe me. He got out of Leeds when they were falling apart and he worked with Ridsdale ffs.
Dodgy character who lives in Harrogate and is banned from all the pubs in Harrogate for some reason apparently. His involvement is not good news.

What I meant was it is not the important aspect to my comment. I clearly did not say the act of due diligence is unimportant. The important point of my comment is nothing ever happens. A name is put forward, the same thing happens and then we never hear of them again. This has happened to many times in the past to be real and to be believed. None of the previous interested buyers existed. The same thing happened in all those case as with this one.
