We might have lost, but...

If we played as well as the OP says we did we'd have won. The fact is Burton we better organized, played better and wanted it more. They deserved to win because they were the better team. It was a typical performance from us.

Some people just can't help having a dig at what was meant to be a well intentioned post.
For me, the main points i've noticed are:
1) Too early to be giving the every cloud has a silver lining an all that, line - fyl. When you initially posted this yesterday (12am my time) I stayed well out of it. We'd just been relegated by a crap team. The Bent ingredient added insult to injury but there was no way he wouldn't have bloody scored. Cursed I say. That stadium.
2) Naturally. Anyone calling themselves a fan had every right to be angry come 5 pm yesterday. The club has been run terribly for over two years. Throwing the towel in at the death is exactly where this club is right now.
3) Some players put in good performances? The manager said it's the worst we'd played in over a month and a half so..when it counted. The players yet again, spoiled the party
4) A small group of players are toxic. There's a nucleus there that seemingly corrupt anyone they come into contact with. I don't include JOS in this. A man who has been an excellent servant to the club. You can change the players, bring new ones in but..as long as that toxic nucleus remains. The corruption of newer players will continue.
Finally. I hope my cousin in Seaham enjoys next season. He said "I just want to be entertained" That was six years ago. I also want to be entertained but supporting SAFC definitely doesn't guarantee that.

All the best!

I'm shocked the OP managed to survive the amount of drink and / or drugs he consumed yesterday.

Can you advise Keith what my libelous warning was for?

The comment about the student?

Cant be a drugs reference to the OP as you and others have made similar comments.

Cheers

Now now. Like I said. He meant well. As opposed to the countless other WUMs on here that people like you, don't do anything about.

Thanks very much you just proved my last statement was wrong!
Grrr And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids!

Let's see first eh?

Some of our players had a cracking game.

Steele played a blinder. Some of those shots he stopped! On a few occasions I thought we'd borrowed De Gea or Cortois for the day. Superb performance. Didn't deserve to concede today. For all I've thought he's been shite all season, today he can hold his head high for his performance.

Koné and O'Shea were class. Solid at the back and both getting forward to help the attacks. When Koné had to go off we were far weaker. He's another that's turned my opinion this season. Lots of unfair rumours about him early on when he turned out to be injured but people were saying he was skiving. He was quality today and has looked good since returning from his injuries. O'Shea personally saved us from conceding about 10 goals throughout the match with his interceptions, last ditch tackles and clearances. Quality performance.

Cattermole had another good game. Saved us at the back a few times and was getting into the opposition box to help out with attacks. Played some absolute quality passes and his tackling was superb.

McNair obviously scored the goal but was also always involved throughout. We really need to keep hold of this lad. Exactly what we need.

McGeady and McManaman were always pressing and looking to take players on. Some great running and dribbling from them both, lots of chances created by them and just never stopped.

Matthews looked very good. Some timely challenges to prevent opposition attacks, his long throws are awesome, and seems to have his head screwed on right. Excellent mentality on the lad by the look of him. I'd be looking to keep him for next season if we can.

Asoro looks like he's coming along nicely. Wrongfooted the opposition defence a few times. A bit lightweight still, on one occasion he was waiting for a high ball to land near him when the opposition left-back just stood there and Asoro bounced right off him and out of position for the header. That aside he seems to be making good progress.

Fletcher had a great game too. Looks like he genuinely gives a shit, was putting himself about all over the place and bringing others into play. Was even helping out in defence. Shame he can't get the ball in the net himself but he certainly creates chances for his teammates.

Really f***ing disappointing that we lost when we were winning until so late in the match, but all in all it was an enjoyable match for the most part and we certainly can't say they didn't try.

Straight back up next season, piece of piss. HAWAY THE LADS!!!
What f***ing game were you watching?

Pukka pad and Cleveland smoggie haven't posted much today...

Perhaps it's the difference between an obvious joke and a nasty comment with no humour involved.

What f***ing game were you watching?

A crap stream would be my guess.

Nobody at the game would say O'Shea had a good game. Steele played decent but his kicking was horrendous.

Thanks for clearing that up.No warnings for any other drug related comments as long as they are funny aye?

Posting without the above attitude might help too.

I'm being serious.Plenty, including yourself, have made reference to the OP and drugs. He may have taken offence at all of the comments.

Being kind here but most say he knows very little about football and recent threads just confirm that.

Just say no is my moto.

As @Keith S30S said, everyone else was saying "You must be on drugs if that's what you think!" which is not exactly kind to me but obviously just a jokey way to put forward their disagreement.

Your comment was simply a nasty lie about me, that's why I reported it.
