I need 20 strips of decking, 170cm long. Wickes have some "premium" decking, 360cm long, buy one get one free, which, looking round will be my cheapest option (£13 each, I'll only need 10 boards and only pay for 5, £65 total). The problem is getting 3.6m boards home.

Do Wickes cut them? Could we have them sticking out the back of the car with the boot up (never done that before)?

If all else fails I suppose I could take my saw and cut them in the car park.

Mate of mine did that with some wood. Can't remember what he needed it for but he took a saw (or maybe even bought it at whatever shop it was) and cut it in the car park so it fitted into the car. A shopping trolley is of a similar height to some cars' windows, allowing you to balance the wood, assuming the window is wound down.

Wicked do a free delivery service I think ( well all the other DIY shops tend too ) !
£35 to be delivered on a Saturday pal (and £30 during the week). Hence me being prepared to saw the fucker in the car park!

Probably should have got a proper car. Most man size vehicles will fit them in.

To be fair, rough saw them. You’ve got 20cm to play with.
