Not according to Mike Porky Parry and as we all know he is never wrong.
He reckons you're finished as a football club and will never be seen in the top flight again. He described you as no longer relevant as a football club and that Sunderland was a nothing place between Newcastle and Leeds.
He was very disparaging toward you, very uncalled for I thought but as a Newcastle fan I had to laugh.

Well if Mike Parry says that, it means we'll be in the Champions League within 5 years! Seriously the bloke is an absolute idiot, and says whatever he thinks will provoke a reaction. You would be well advised not bothering with Talksport.

Yer I know mate not saying I believe him, just made me laugh as it was about your club not mine.
5 years might be a little ambitious though, 6 maybe :)

Is this the same Mike Parry that said race horses should be fitted with wing mirrors and that a man in the future will run the 100m sprint in under 1 second ?

yer that's the one he is an absolute gem isn't he. I couldn't stop laughing at the 100m in a second one, it really felt like he believed it as well.

They won’t come man. I’ve got a season ticket and in two minds whether to Go why the fuck would anyone pay money to watch two teams they don’t support?

Like I say they won’t come - will only be the weirdos

He seems to be the font of all knowledge . I can see why a certain type of person would be convinced by his well thought out reasoning .

So as a mag on a Sunderland board and if you can stop laughing at our demise? What do u think of Sunderland football club?......shite club shite fans or a potentially massive club with fans that deserve better?

Not wanting to be captain obvious but if Newcastle fans wanted to be there when Sunderland went down to take the piss then surely they would be getting tickets at Fulham. That is the game most likely to see you relegated and easy to get tickets for. The chances are Wolves will be a damp squib unless you're a Wolves fan and any elation Newcastle fans will have at you're relegation that produces craziness will have come and gone.

I said earlier, I don't get why Sunderland would care if there are a few Newcastle fans in the away area. No club in the country polices the geographical location of the people that make up the away area because its irrelevant. They are all partisan to your club so it doesn't matter, that's why it's the away area.
As a Newcastle fan I could ring the Wolves ticket office and say I'm a Newcastle fan and I fancy coming to see you, do you have any tickets for the away match at Hull this weekend. If they had any left unsold they would happily sell me a ticket. If I then rang hull up and said I am a Newcastle fan and have a ticket for the Wolves end this week is that Ok. They would say yes of course it is and wonder why i had rang them.
It seems bizarre that your club is worried that there might be a handful of Newcastle fans in the Wolves away end. If there is they will be doing exactly what the Wolves fan are doing, celebrating wolves goals and goading the home fans over the relegation.

Is this some sort of prepared excuse for if you're already down the attendance is super low and looks crap, so they can say it's because of the extreme measures we had to take to keep the nasty Newcastle fans away or there would have been another 15000 of our fans in.

You sound a bit pissed off,

Did you miss out on a ticket?

In all honestly and I have said many times on here I think you're a big club with great fans who deserve a top division team to follow. When it comes to the fans I will say I find a lot of you a little over the top in your hatred. There seems more bitterness there towards us than we have toward you. Our relationship reminds me a little of England and Scotland, you seem to hate us more than we hate you.
