Doubt Rafa will be able to do as well as Pardew and get them fifth
As do I unless he is given some world shocking transfer fund.
Doesn't mean he won't be doing as well as Pards though. He got us 5th when there was a big four, there is now a big six so getting 7th would be a similar achievement and I can see him doing that with some half decent backing. If Everton continue to spend and get a decent manager in I might have to reevaluate that to 8th.

Back to being the best team in the north east. Pity there will never been a Tyne Wear derby ever again, the way things are going.

Congratulations to them on their success. They've got a top manager. They're the ones laughing now. Top ten finish and things are looking bright, oh if only we had a chairman who cares like Mike Ashley.
Peaks and Troughs. Peaks and troughs. We had the wood over them for the last 6-7 years, it's their turn now. The laughable thing is that they think they are genuine challengers (10th place yer knaa) whereas it will be more seasons of scraping about for 10 wins a season to stay up.

I'd sway places with them of course

I think Arsenal are definitely a better a team than us not probably a better a team, that said we are in very good form at the moment with confidence high.
I think they are playing short of their best at the moment for various reason and no doubt the poor little souls will be exhausted from flying first class from Russia on Thursday.

I really fancy us to take all three points today and if not, a point at least, just one of those gut feelings. Mind you my gut feeling told me we would get beat off ManU and Leicester and it was wrong about that.

For the first time yesterday I found myself looking up the table instead of back down, looking to see if teams like Everton and Leicester had lost before looking to see how those in the bottom half dozen had done. It's probably to early to do that as we are not safe yet but I think safe enough to start looking to see if we might climb another place or two.

My undoubtedly wrong predication is 2-1 in favour of Newcastle and premier league status in the bag.

While your predicting things have you got the lottery numbers for next week.
Good win;)

The thick c.unts can't see that their upturn in form has happened towards the end of the season when teams are either down and out, in major cup semi finals or on the beach. They've been shite the rest of the season
