Good result sir. Picking our boy up from Toon shortly. Streets still full of partying mags or calmed down?

First game with the kid today so I was straight out in the car, I’d imagine horses would still be getting howked though with it being a nice night and all.

As a Newcastle fan I can honestly say I don't think you should forget about it but I do think you over play it. I was gutted at the time, both the six in a row and you pipping us to safety but I can honestly say I never give it a thought now other than when a Sunderland fan brings it up. Then when you do like most Newcastle fans we find it laughable that you are still going on about it given the current states of both clubs.

The thing that surprises me most from this forum is that so many of you seem to attach more importance about Newcastle doing badly than you do about your own club doing well. You seem to have the attitude that it's ok to lose as long as we do. That you will take going down to league 1 as long as Newcastle get demoted as well.

I understand that the 6 in a row is something you will always have unless we win 7 in a row at some point, and it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling and lets you have a pop at Newcastle fans from time to time.
I find that you would not swap that for a comfortable mid table premiership finish, to be financially sound and have optimism for the future astounding.
Do you care nothing for your club, you would rather see your club sink into third tier football, see it a financial ruin and the possibility of going out of business a genuine proposition, just so every now and again you get to spout six in a row to a mag that you may or may not be winding up.
You're crackers some of you lot mind.

I was 28 years old before they won a home game against us in my lifetime.

I can stomach lots of things but I will not stomach our own fans criticising our support, so I’ll be damned if I allow a Mag to call our supporters a disgrace.

Name any other club who lost nearly 30,000 fans within a year. A disgrace.

Someone could quite easily retort with a stat about having not seen you beat us at home from the 50's to the 90's. For every stat one has, the other can throw one straight back at the other. Bald men and combs spring to mind.

Our fans didn't. Quite the opposite in fact. FACT!
You do realise that by putting fact in capital letters doesn’t actually make it FACT.
I’ll debate, reasonably, on all sorts of things, the one debate I won’t entertain is who has the best fans. Because let’s face it there aren’t another two clubs in the country who would still have the level of support we both have, having won nothing for years.
And I certainly won’t have a Mag on a Sunderland message board calling me a disgrace.
As for losing 30,000 fans the stadium never held 50,000 so not sure how you work that out.

That was the point I was making, that 6 in a row is meaningless. Each individual result is meaningless one week after the game.

Your attendance is 18,000 max this season and well you know it. Nearly 30,000 missing. FACT!

No I didn't, I said the opposite.
I then went on to say I find it astounding you would happily see your club in the third tier, in financial ruin and facing the possibility of going out of existence just to keep that fuzzy feeling and aford you the ability to spout of sin a row to a mag from time to time.
There you go again, telling us what we should be thinking.

Football for clubs like us (and yourselves) is about enjoying certain results and days that live long in the memory. Would I forego beating you six times on the spin and enjoying those now for a chance at being a mundane PL team having not enjoyed those moments? Not a chance
