Takeover talks not going great

If that's the case , I'd rather stick with Short.
I honestly don’t get this mate. Short not investing is only part of the problem as this squad should have stopped up easily. It is the whole negativity around the place. A negativity caused by an owner who wants out, couldn’t give a fuck what happens and doesn’t even show up to give his support. The ground is lacking a bit of maintenance and looking dishevelled, the atmosphere and heart has been torn out of the place whilst his greasy f***ing sidekick fills us with corporate shite, then disappears. Before any change in fortunes takes place they both have to go. We need a breath of fresh air actually telling us how it is not, not a pair of numbnuts saying we should be in the top 10 in the Premier League and the other telling us he is doing such a great job and what a great transfer window we had.

If the prospective new owners have no money things could get worse if they can't cover the running costs.

We're going down this season not through lack of investment , but inept management.

Yes but I meant if it’s was a choice of short with no investment and some other with no investment, I’d take the latter. Well I did say this squad should have been comfortable mid table so I sort of agree with your last. However these players lack confidence and even their movement is negative. Look at the diference between Grabban of Sunderland and Grabban of Villa. Whilst he still scored goals he sauntered around and didn’t seem a team player. Now he plays with a smile on his face, players play better when they are enjoying themselves. This lot are anything but enjoying themselves and that points to something much more than just managers not being good enough. Yes they take some of the blame

Sunderland. Main worry is size of payroll next season. Doesn’t matter who’s in charge. May be further talks with local chap. But whether they have money to handle potential losses is a doubt.

All of that is public knowledge anyway. We’ve known our payroll is a problem. We know the losses are a problem. Any potential investor knows they’re the main issues.

None of this is news and certainly wouldn’t be a reason for any investor suddenly getting cold feet and if any investor did look at Sunderland and it came as a shock to them the financial state we were in, I wouldn’t want them anywhere near the club in the first place.

I can’t see how you can say it’s not through lack of investment.
A decent striker and keeper would have made a massive difference
The main reason we're going down is bad management. It is possible we could have stayed up if we gave coleman money to spend, but there's no saying he would have spent it wisely. He'd have been better off not bringing in Fletcher and Camp and playing the players already at the club. At the very least we'd have saved two wages.

And at the end of the day , coleman knew the score regarding lack of transfer funds . He obviously didn’t think it meant we were doomed to relegation.

I’ve said all along the only way we get new owners involves Administration. There is no way anyone is coming into take a league one club over with £100m of debt.

I don’t think you are getting it - Short is covering losses, so if it's a choice between Short covering losses and someone else not even being able to do that, then I would rather stick with Short.

Coleman has been as big a disappointment as Moyes although to be fair both are bluffers.

No one has said they won’t cover losses. My point is that if it was choice of him covering losses or someone new, I will take the latter. Why would anyone take the club on if they couldnt cover the loss, it just wouldn’t need happen

No one knows who they are yet. They could be better or they could be worse.

Ask Portsmouth, their owners took money out of the club and they nearly went bust. You think short is bad, but he could sell to some real asset strippers like Portsmouth had.
Let's be honest they couldn't do a worse job than the calamity that's been festering the last three year.

But they could do a worse job going forward. The club needs money just to cover losses, for all Short's faults at least he is doing that. New owners might not have the wealth to do that .

Personally I don't think there are anybody in to try and takeover the club, all I'm saying it's been a shambles left right and centre for a few year.
