Arghh right I’d not seen anything, just saw that tweet and wondered what had kicked it off

I think earlier in the season he was writing pieces based on his liverpool based sources that benitez wasn't happy etc. Might be a different journalist but think it was him

It’s the same journalist, I think he did/does have a decent relationship with him from his days at Liverpool. He got dogs abuse for saying he wasn’t happy if I remember

Aye that's right.
Benitez does seem to talk openly to certain journalists and they'll run a story without quotes, claiming it as a source close to...

George Caulkin, Martin Hardy, Luke Edwards, Louise Taylor,Mark Douglas all seem to have a decent relationship with him. I'm sure he is still well aligned with North West based journalists as well. It suits Benitez and his political manoeuvring

How dare any "journalist" write a story suggesting that WCR* is anything other than gloriously happy as the manager of the Mighty Toon of Hearts.

Remarkable rafa

Not an all bad article, but fails to mention ashley let benitez retain a solid core and spend 60m in the 2nd division

The main difference is an owner who continued to support their manager compared to one who pulled the plug. Had our manager had the support last summer that Benitez did, we'd not be in the predicament we are now.

Assuming you’re talking about Jon Richardson, he’s actually a Newcastle fan. But aye, knows him well from Liverpool, he’s based in Chester.

Even if we been allowed a murphy 2m, a steady gk , probs woulx have saved us

If ashley hadnt signed clark, gayle, diame, sels, ritchie as a whole new spine to the team at a cost of 39m approx, had loaned out and sold their decent players (only townsend was a loss, they got mental money for talented but bad attitude llayers sissoko, gini and janmaaaaaaaat), and gave him 1.25m to sign 15 players, how well would anyone have done?
