Scandi noir/drama recommendations/discussion

Watching the 3rd episode. And I've learnt this - there is no Danish equivalent for the word shitstorm. I love it when you get random English words. Macho man from last week was amusing too!

Just read that the first episode of The Bridge 4 is being shown at BFI Southbank on 17 April. So obviously its not going to drop on BBC2 until after that. Not too long after I hope.

Bloody hell, they're delaying this!

I'm enjoying Below the Surface so far (three episodes in, was going to watch 4 last night but realised if I did I'd miss the start of Only Connect).

Yes I'm enjoying it too. Also playing a 'which hostage will die next' game. I guessed totally wrong with the first one!

Can't remember if I know what BFI Southbank is but 17 April isn't too far away.

Though I don't understand why the BBC haven't kicked off the final series already. They began showing the series in Australia a couple of weeks back.

A large cinema with a few screens, basically. They are having a Q and A after the episode with Sofia Helin too, not sure if she's there in person or it's a link. Seeing as the bbc showed a preview of the programme in November I feel like they are dragging it out a bit!

BFI is the British Film Institute. They're doing a Q&A with Sofia Helin and "the creative team" after the screening. This may be why things are being delayed.

Well, her and the creative team. ;)

I meant the screening really rather than the Q&A. BFI won't want to screen it after broadcast. The event's sold out anyway.
I'm not surprised it has sold out. People like me who are getting sick of waiting! :) It would be good to see it on a large screen.

I caved in last week and have watched it, in fact i watched the entire thing inadvertently over two days. I intended to watch two episodes a night bbc4 style, which worked on the Friday... However, the cliff hanger at the end of episode 4 saw the dominos fall and i was there till the end of episode 8 at half 3 in the morning.

suffice to say, series 4 is probably the best of the lot & i'm happy with the conclusion.

Watching episode 2 of Below the Surface now in preparation for, er, recording the third and fourth tonight. It's good!
i think its a great series, although when i watched it i made the fatal error of looking at imdb to see what it was like after @alexander first mentioned it on this thread... anyhoo, imdb gave part of the game away with the cast member playing alpha!!!

Not fair! I can't do that and I'm at the mercy of the bbc. I think @alexander said the same thing about episode 4 and this being the best series.

i wanted to watch it unfold on bbc, but i just couldnt wait any longer. my mate offered it on a usb, who was i to say no? i have no memory of anything now though, so will watch it again and no doubt pickup easter eggs laid that i missed. im not one for binge watching really, but that had to be done!

on the plus side, i get to see how it unfolds on here without passing comment ala alex...

Will be interesting to read people's theories.

Each time I log onto here I hope to see a new thread titled The Bridge Four. Only a matter of time now surely.
