Sunderland not worth laughing at anymore

Been away working with a load of them, none of them took the piss tbh. It’s just really sad what’s happening, think they would rather have us to play against than us going out of business.
I'll be honest I don't want you to play against but I don't want you going out of business either. As long as you don't look like you're going to get promoted to the Premier League I'm happy. I don't care if that's the Championship or League 1.

I have been on away ends that have been applauded by the home fans at the end of the match and sat in the home end at away games when I couldnt get a ticket and I would say that yes, in general our away following is fairly well received.
TBF I think that happens with most fans.
I can certainly remember similar instances at away matches I've been to

Don’t you miss the derby games ?

I thought you supported boro.

As amusing as I find your plight and it’s fun discussing it with other Newcastle fans, I don’t have much (if any) inclination to rub it in the noses of Sunderland supporting people I know both at work and in my group of mates.

I realise by posting this here it contravenes my latter point but, you know...

Same here works roughly 50/50 & usually full of daft banter but its diminished loads over the past few months, I honestly think most of us are just thinking it could of easily happened to us.

At then end of the day it's better to have more northern clubs fighting higher up the leagues than the usual boring southern clubs, add to the fact that potentially 100s (including close friends) could lose their jobs if the worst happens, kind of takes the gloss off it somewhat.

class

average mag on holiday has the same gravy stained top on, for a fortnight. up there with scousers abroad, whose voice goes up 20 decibels, so people know where they're from.

fawa bairns, all obese, called "keegan", "shearer", "shola" and "toto".
I thought mine was funnier because it's true.

Don’t you miss the derby games ?
No I f***ing hate them.
Even if you take the 6 in a row out of the equation I have never liked them, there just feels like there is to much riding on the game to me. I have butterflies in my stomach over the games for days before hand if we lose I'm gutted for days after. Don't get me wrong when you win its brilliant but I would quite happily not have one.
If we were 3-0 up at half time I still wouldn't start to enjoy the game until it got down to the last 20 minutes and I was certain it was in the bag.
Don't think I am typical there mind as most of my mates really look forward to the derby games.

I had the same feeling before every derby game, but I do miss them.

Most of my mates are the same, they really look forward to it, out before and out after on the drink, make a day of it.
I just worry about it to much lol.

 They always worried me sick. I don’t drink that much or that often, but it was the only way I could face derby day.
Saying that I do it for regular games now.

Used to be the first games I looked for when the fixtures came out but over the last 2 years it's just faded away.
I loved the derby games win or lose, the atmosphere was terrific in SJP. Hope they come back before I pop me clogs.

Back in 2009 this only managed two comment replies, both racist I hasten to add, But just about summed yous up.

Just so I correctly understand your point:
We are the laughing stock of the nation and to prove it you post an article from a magazine called spike by a journalist who's article inspired positive and negative comments which totaled two?

I can see why you would think this magazine and the article author are an accurate representation of the nations views.

Never said it proved my point. I said it summed yous up.
I can't help what the nation thinks of yous.
Thats your fans doing ;)

‘Sums us up’ but by your own admittance doesn’t actually prove anything.

Okay...
