Whatever anyone thinks of him as a bloke I’m surprised this hasn’t been acknowledged on here. A phenomenal talent who would get in most people’s all time England XIs in all formats.
His innings against South Africa at headingley is arguably the best I’ve seen from on England player, Gooch at the same venue against windies is probably only one I can think of that may trump it.
Without doubt an England legend.

He doesn't seem to be liked much. Even the stuff I've seen on twitter has only a few comments praising him, his talent deserves more but I can't say I ever took to him.

Our 5th all time test run scorer.
2nd all time test century maker
2nd highest England run scorer across all formats.
Player of tournament in our only global international tournament success.

You not watch much cricket?
Not when that ****'s playing no. Genuinely the only cricketer that makes me switch off if he or his many franchise teams are doing well.

He certainly wouldn't get into my all time England XI. Can't recall any match winning or match saving inns against top attacks or on difficult wickets. Nor do I think you can be termed a great if you can't be a team man.
Chunky-lover summed him up perfectly in 6 words.
I think he’d get in most, his innings against a top South African attack at headingley was sensational.
Out of interest who would you have ahead of KP in an all time great England batting line up?
He was enough of a team man to play in a side that got to number 1 in world and also to be player of tournament in our only global tournament victory.

Only comments I've seen praising him are from Vaughan, hardly surprisingly. Made for each other, f***ing gobshites. Strauss has gone way down in my estimations as an administrator at FTECB, but at the time of the texting affair I was fully behind him.

His innings against Sri Lanka and India under cook are up there as some of the best by any England batsman.

.
Hobbs, Hammond, Compton, Hutton, May, Dexter, Cowdrey, Barrington, Graveney, Boycott, Gower......
After that S. African inns didn't KP comment " It's difficult being Kevin Pietersen in this team"- a not so subtle criticism of his team mates.
We beg to differ Mr J-which is what forums are all about.
