I prefer medal comps anyway. When your getting 42 points and not being In the prizes it does your head in.
Miss the days I was getting 42 points though.

i prefer medal comps or 4bbb havent got a chance in individual stableford comps

Been following him on Instagram and some of his training is a bit mindblowing, but I suppose that's what you have to do these days. Kin'hell, how much! Nice enough place, a bit short and a good test in the wind but I'm amazed someone is going to pay that to be a member there :eek:

Got a mate at Hexham, only £650 I think and head and shoulders above Sharpley I think.

Yes, his winter schedule has been madness at this X Fit. Last year he was at one stage very close to wining the english amateur championship but stamina did not come into play and faded on each of the 4 rounds, he still finished 8th, so this winter has really worked hard and maybe this will put him in good stead.

Aye I'll give it that, don't come back in the winter much but when I do its the only place I've found that doesn't have temp tees or winter greens so won't fault it for that. It's possible the exposure to the winter sun :p:eek: and wind keep the frost at bay as that place is really open.

No idea why I should be complaining about members fees, UK is cheap! here were talking about a minimum of £1500, weekdays only and certain times and in most cases you have to use a motor cart and pay for that separately, massive increase if you want 7 day week membership :evil:

Cheapest round of golf I pay is around £33 but usually pay double that.
 
Tried to play Whitburn yesterday in the fog, was daft being fair managed 8 holes then come off. Could probably see 80 yards max.
 
Think I have only done max of 27 holes since Xmas. I played turkey trot stableford comp just before Xmas and won it and had handicap cut to 26.

Nowhere near had my member ship value this season sadly.

Got tee time booked next Sunday.

Off to Spain in May with a load of lads from the club.

4 nights all inclusive at the marconfort griego hotel torremolinos

Santana
Rio Real
All including buggies
All airport and golf transfers included.

Some cracking courses around there mate although Torremolinos is a right shithole :lol:
 
Played Houghton today in the daily mail foursomes knock out. I'd be quite happy never to play foursomes again. Got beat 3 and 2 but my mate was horrendous. He put the ball out of bounds twice and was missing fairways by 100 yards with his driving. I only had 1 putt on the front 9.

That's why foursomes is otherwise known as "sorry"
 
Played very well today on a very soggy course. More than pleased 44 points from 17 holes especially as I couldn't hit a short iron to save my life on the back 9.

My 24 handicap won't last long if I keep hitting it this well :oops:
