I've already had tears from people. Don't like the drama of it so will sneak out the back door early.

Already work part time in another job and start a now (lower grade) job on Monday.

No one died so all is good.

Just wish that if they got me anything it wasn't SAFC related. Salt in wound etc. Altghough its probably appropriate as I spend most of my working day on here.

I’ve been on redundancy notice and close to it enough times to fantasise about how it would go.

I’ve settled on 1. Delete all my files, empty my locker etc etc so that the last day is entirely free of encumbrances. 2. Don’t turn up for the last day.

I very, very much doubt that enough of a shit would be given by anyone to warrant any kind of fuss but the factor of embarrassment might make some poor sod think they should do something as a token gesture. So I’ll save them all the trouble and just quietly disappear. I’m confident that 90% of the people I work with wouldn’t notice I’d gone. Including the bosses. Including mine.

Oh, and best of luck sadders. Think of this as an opportunity.
