That's not something that particularly bothers me if truth be told. I can't really be arsed, nor am I in the mood, to get involved in petty squabbles or insult others who are as pissed off as I am either.

You'll always get ridiculed off arseholes marra, with their heads buried in the sand, when you say it as it is and speak your mind, and come up with factual evidence to back up what you are saying, see it as a badge of honour

I’ve gone full circle from when I started going in the late 60’s . Then we had lots of (more) devoted fans and a better stadium than most of the others, not much else to be proud of.
Pretty similar now , but actually less to be proud of , as documented in the posts above!!

The likes of both Sheffield teams have had it worse than us over the last few years and get similar crowds. As fans we can't say we're any better than they are for example.

We are better than Sheffield six days of the week.

20000 fans barely, most on free tickets and benefit handouts from London (Scruffy Northerners- LONG LIVE THATCHER)

Imagine thinking that's great
Newby = Mag

I know that marra. You say something that goes against the grain, even though it's factually correct and it's Mag this, tosser that etc. The worrying thing is that the schools are back now so these are actually full grown adults!

You cant even argue the fact we are some of the best fans in the country. The complete and sheer utter f***ing shit we have to put up with, in large quantities and length of time of said shit, is incredible. Even (rarely) when the going is great, it’s only average.

Anybody who dares to question our support is an idiot.
The word incredible is an understatement !!

Will raise you. You haven’t done a demotion and two administrations yet. Let alone no new ground, countless takeover failures.
Once Premier League now in the basement.
You will come back.........still a big club.

Speak truth = Mag? Strange logic you got there T_Berk. Both Sheffield clubs have had it worse than us this past 10 years. Both have been down to League One. Neither have reached a major cup final in that time either As I said only a moron would argue against that, as you have proven.
I made my post before your I read your Sheffield comparison. If you are not a mag and I think you are, you are one of that band of so called Sunderland supporters who seem to get a kick when we are not doing well, seem to relish the opportunity to have a poke at the club at every opportunity.
Either way, mag or not, you are a bad smell that nobody wants, an embarrassing uncle, the office clerk, the bloke in the corner at the bar, alone again naturally.

The home crowd will drop next season but I think we're more or less down to the bare bones as far as the away support is concerned and I don't see it dropping much more. Midweek away followings between 700-1200 and Saturdays 1500-2000. I remember last time I was at Bolton. Bruce was the manager and we had 4500 there. Only a quarter of those turned out last night. It's sad to see but it's also understandable. I'm dreading Saturday if we start off the same way as against Brentford and to a slightly lesser extent Ipswich because the Smoggies will go in for the kill.
Yet there was more than that there last night.

Our highest top flight finish since 1955 is wait for it 7th !
We've spent 24 seasons since 1955 outside the top flight!
We have been relegated 4 times from the Premier!
We have spent 11 seasons in the premier bottom 7!
Relegated to the 3rd Division

One excursion into Europe!
countless false dawns and incompetent owners and players for as long as I can remember!
and now we are rock bottom of the Championship and sliding into financial meltdown!

OUR SUPPORT IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC IMO :)
