At the Peacock (It will always be the Londonderry to me) in the town on 14th March.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow for a tenner at the Peacock and all proceeds go to the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

The charity money raised for Brad's foundation aside.

Anyone going to use this to ask some harder hitting questions than what RAWA did at their last meet?

I'd ask Martin Bain if he's happy
The man's a former model (albeit for knitting patterns or colostomy bags, I forget which,) and is being paid in cash from a sack Ellis left in the corner crudely daubed with the phrase "Sunderland Rowdies Athletic FC Soccer Franchise" with the only down side being his hair has slightly receded and no-one in the SR1 postcode sends him a Christmas card.

Course he's f***ing happy.

Got to respect them for coming into the town and facing the fans. Not many in the football industry would do it these days.
The likes of Reidy would never do it when he was here.
You only do this if you care, and your prepared to be humble enough to take the flak

I agree with the large part of this but not sure about the last part. Does Bain actually give much of a shit either way, or has he been instructed by email from Short that he will attend and trot out the financial prudence to turn the club around rhetoric we have come to expect?

Short has no track record of telling his senior execs to get in front of the fans in their own backyard. I can’t remember anyone doing since Dennis Smith. Big difference between holding something in Quinn’s bar and going into a city centre bar.

Very true. It will be interesting to see if there's any vetting on who is admitted, as this is something that could turn ugly, particularly if we're well adrift and playing week in week out like no-one gives a shiny shite, which seems likely to be the case.

There'll need to be some very good security as feelings could be running very high. I'm surprised they've agreed to do this but fair play to them for stepping into the lion's den....

Why do I get a feeling the two of them are making a bit of a stand?
That’s the impression I get. On the other hand it could be a carefully orchestrated damage limitation exercise albeit a belated one. I’m going to go with my heart on this one as I believe Coleman genuinely gives a shit.

It's been organised by Wisemensay podcast I believe. And they will be vetting questions. But lets face it if they only ask safe questions people in a pub drinking will surely start to get pissed off and shout out

What a great idea to have it in a pub. everyone will be that pissed up and giving abuse that anyone will be lucky to get a question answered! it'll probably last about 10 minutes before Bain gets escorted out due to the abuse.

Fair play to both them for this. I'm guessing a pub in the middle of Sunderland is the last place bain would want to spend an evening.
It's not as though the questions are going to be, "So Martin, what's your favourite crisp flavour?" is it. (it would be salt and vinegar)
