Mags walking around in Asda Boldon

What about the wonderful discussion groups that meet around the city? "The affect of embossed wallpaper on the operating costs on The East India Trading Company" was a fascinating 3 hour discussion held in The Fort recently. Well attended and lively if I do say so myself.
Cannot have been that recent, The Fort has been closed for some time.

I liked The Fort, but Howard Arms is an equally good pub. Will be getting a pint in on the way home.

How come a mag chooses to drink in partisan Sunlun pubs like those? I like a piss-up in Newcastle, but couldn't bring myself to walk in a bar that was pro nufc even more so if it was outside of the city centre.

I had an exam in St James' and then went for a drink in the Strawberry afterwards as its so near, I was with 4 Sunderland fans and we were pretty much the only ones in there - it made me chuckle at the thought that technically we'd "taken" their top pub - all be it on a Thursday late afternoon!

Well obviously, im not gonna live in Byker am I!
