I think you will find I know he has spent £80m
I unlike you understand that spend and invest are two different words and mean two different things.
You have no idea how much money has been spent, as it hasn't been released in the public domain. What I understand is that you're rather gullible.I unlike you understand that spend and invest are two different words and mean two different things.
I understand that while Rafa has spent 80 million that does not mean Ashley or the club has invested 80 million.
ashley or the club invested 80m the season rafa joined, just it was mcclaren that spent it.I unlike you understand that spend and invest are two different words and mean two different things.

coming from the man who claims he has spent 80 million?
I think you will find I know he has spent £80m
He's a knacker
Well that cleared everything upI said I know Rafa has spent 80 million
The other guy was saying I couldn't know that as the figures are not released, I was replying coming from the guy who had just said you don't even know that Rafa has spent 80 million.
As Sunderland hurtle towards oblivion, some on here try to take an odd satisfaction at predictions of a Newcastle defeat. Yesterday will have been a kick in the fanny for a fair few on here. We may well be below standard for the premiership, but at least there is effort. This championship campaign from Sunderland is now beyond ridiculous. A filthy excuse of a club are Sunderland at present.
Yep, it's all the fault of these greedy capitalists...@nelford_safc
Rafa was promised all of the money, ("every penny") I believe were Ashley's words) he generated through player sales when we went down. Rafa spent 50 million of the money generated leaving 30 million to play with in the January transfer window. Come the January transfer window Rafa was denied that money. While I think there was no need to promise rafa all the money and allowing him to have 50 million of the 80 he generated is massively backing him it's still going back on his word. If I promised to give you £80 then only gave you £50 you wouldn't be happy. Like I say though I think Rafa was backed massively in the summer window when we went down and Rafa was very happy with that backing.
In the run up to the January transfer window in the championship season Rafa was told he would have that 30 million to spend but Ashely went back on that promise.
Rafa was promised he would be backed massively in the summer transfer window, told he could every penny generated through that promotion, Ashely saying he understood the team needed a lot of investment if we were to stay in the premier league. Ashley went back on that promise only allowing Rafa the money he generated through player sales with none of the money promised from promotion being given.
In the run up to this January window Rafa was promised significant investment regardless of what happened with the take over, again that investment did not come through as promised and we had to resort to loan deals.
The simple fact is Ashley keeps promising to invest money but he does not deliver, under Rafa he has neither invested his own money nor the money the club generates in the on field playing squad.
You spelt Ashley wrong.me
A quote involving a kettle, a pot and a reference to who was cleanest comes to mind...
When we win some sort of silver pot to piss in you can give a shout so that I can log on here to gloat...until then it remains "There but for the grace of God go I"

To be fair it was a Mag that started the thread
Done your own valuation have yer? That I think would be a entirely different conversation.
From my own point of view I have never expected Ashley to throw in millions of his own money. I would be more than happy for Newcastle to run and operate within it's own means as a business.
I have no objection to Ashley making money from the club as long as he does it with the intention of trying to move the club forward at the same time.
I am looking forward to him selling up should it ever happen but don't blame him for not selling at the current 250 million offer as I think that's and under evaluation.
I wouldn’t know where to look for their sitesI wish they would keep to their own board. I never look at their sites, to be fair most of them can't string a sentence together.![]()

I refuse to believe that you're this much of an imbecile. Has to be a wind-up!No I have not which is why I said "I think"
I know you have trouble with words and their meanings so let me explain. By using the word "think" I am letting you know that it is a personal opinion, a belief and not fact. Had I of been party to a proper evaluation I would have said "the club is worth more than 250 million". This would be a statement of fact showing my confidence in the accuracy of my statement.
That said I am happy to tell you what makes me think that the club is worth more than 250 million, what my reasoning is based on.
An 80% stake in Southampton was recently sold for 210 million. Newcastle is on a sound financial footing and has a much larger fan base than Southampton. Since the sale of Southampton there is also rumours of a much bigger sky deal. This leads me to believe Newcastle is worth more than 250 million.
