Crystal Palace v The Mags

Apart from 6 or 7 clubs most fans think that most of their players aren't good enough man. Shelvey Richie yedlin diame have all proved to be adequate premier league players in the past stop making excuses

I doubt Burnley have a single outfield player that Newcastle supporters would have wanted in their side.

Dyche bought well and brought in players who could make the step up from the Championship.

Benitez bought badly.

They played in the championship last season and were not good enough the last time Newcastle were in the premier, hence it being a championship squad.
Almost the entirety of Burnley and Brighton's squads have played Championship football; the latter are a few points above Newcastle (despite finishing below them last season, and have a cheaper squad) and the former are absolutely miles above Newcastle, and Burnley's squad cost significantly less than Newcastle's.

Burnley's starting 11 v Newcastle the other night cost under 40m.
Newcastle's BENCH today cost about 35m, and all of them were signed by Benitez.

They'll be in the bottom 3 when they travel to Bournemouth...that'll be interesting.

Even without me red and white glasses on I can honestly only see them having a chance of getting points from Southampton, Huddersfield and West Brom

Add Watford to that, as well. The rest, I can't see them having a sniff of winning.

Good job I got that 11/4 on us being relegated last week. It will be a lot shorter now id imagine.

We needed four points from these two games so it’s a big ask with the games remaining.

And theres not a cat in hells chance of them beating all of those IMO maybe 5-6pts max. Their saving grace could be a Chelsea side with their flip flops on the the last day of the season if their top 4 chances are over

Could be too late by then

Only the Chronicle could interpret it like this
They are staggering away from the relegation zone

Staggering away from the relegation zone, by being as close to it as they have been since August (with the exception of dropping into it for 1 game)?

They've not beaten any of those teams this season .... staggering

2 wins 4 draws will probably be enough for them which unfortunately they will get imho they got very little quality but plenty of fight hope i wrong tho

Agree - I didn’t see much of their game but the bit I saw they showed a lot more fight and determination than our sorry lot.

They are essentially a championship team but the team spirit and cautious approach (their GD isn’t bad compared to those around them) will keep them up.

Huddersfield, West Brom and Stoke for me the three to drop

I highly doubt 35 points will keep anybody up.
Stoke, Hudds and Swans all have a winnable home game next week. If all 3 were to win, that would leave the 17th placed team on 26/27 points with 11 games to go. A lot of teams down there are picking up wins. Huddersfield, WBA and Newcastle are the only ones that seemingly aren't.
