The vast majority of our fans realise the damage it would do to the club if he ever came back. How would it look to sponsors and potential investors let alone the media if we had a convicted sex offender back at the club ? He’s toxic and the fallout from him being back here would arguably be equal to, if not greater than it was when he committed his crimes in the first place. In the eyes of the law with the required safeguards in place he can probably play again somewhere if anyone would be desperate enough to have him. As long as the dirty bastard doesn’t come back here then it’s someone else’s problem.

I’ve aleady said he’d be allowed to play again. Don’t know who would be stupid enough to play him like. How he was treated is down to him being who he is and what he did for a living, and the crime he comitted, but it could all have been avoided as you know only too well.
 
yes immaturity in action, educating kids in the dangers of grooming...then grooming them. This is one character that should be consigned to the history books and then the history books burned. In real Terms Mr Ellis Shorts reign as the owner of Sunderland Football club only has sad bad memories for me. The car crash attitude by the heirarchy in that period is nothing short of shocking. This club is a pile of garbage now. The only plus is the attitude of supporters who have been magnificent in their loyalty.I realise that the quote by someone earlier is spot on we are being mothballed, he is picking over every little crumb of cash whilst supporters who genuinly make Sunderland football their life are left in disbelief at how callous mr Short is.

I’ve never argued that the length of his sentence was commensurate with the crime he committed and if he hadn’t been a high profile footballer he wouldn’t have got it. However him thinking he could get away with it, and not understanding the potential consequences has proven to me he is an arrogant f***ing idiot and he deserves everything he gets as a result of it.
