I doubt it in their cases. I'd imagine it is scaremongering and bullshit at its finest. I'm sure majority of them lot were to be extradited anyway.

Don't get me wrong the system was fucked up in the case of those grooming gangs and still is a bit head the sand about it, due to not wanting to be seen as racist. But once they were convicted I doubt the system would then go back to letting them get up to that again!
Unfortunately, deportation is the last thing that will happen, one of the Telford groomers has been given legal aid to fight being kicked out, sickening.

THIS ^^^ if u remanded on sentenced with footy gear on it's left in ya box in reception until released.... If its brought to u on a visit as a change of clothing its refused and given bk to ya visitor after ya visit has finished to be taken home.

Whilst it is the sun, there's a lot you aren't allowed to do in prison that people do.

surely a condition of his presumably early release should be that he's not in a job where he'd be in touch with impressionable young girls? (meaning signing autographs after games etc)

If you put it in a parallel with crimes by non personalities at the same time he was sentenced then it is harsh, however as he has some public stature it was fair. To put it into perspective a fine is given in court depending on level of earnings. So should you earn more you pay more. Had this crime only carried a fine the this would have reflected on his earnings and he would have paid more. Maybe its time the sentencing guidelines were given graded sentencing according to public standing.
But that means he's been punished for being famous. Yes, what he did was wrong, but his sentence needs to be in line with other who did a similar thing.
