If Sunderland were still in the top flight and our next game was at home to city.

a 4-0 defeat would be merciful

Last season we finished bottom with 24 points despite having a first class striker and keeper. Since then we no longer have those first class players.
In the same time Man City have invested £200m to top up their already excellent squad and have improved immensely.
1-0 Honeyman in injury time.

For a while we were beating them every year at home and giving them a couple of tough games away, probably got the better head to head between say 2008-2013 I'd think.

Wonder if we could beat them if we had 14 players to their 11. Extra player in defence, midfield and up front. I still think we'd get beat like. I was going to say 15 players so we could have 2 keepers as well but Steele would just make it worse
