Took you all day to think of that one you silly old fool. Hope you slip over on the platform :D;)
Well I only saw it 1 hour and 35 minutes after you posted it.So not technically all day.I'm in Derby and thought I would nip into Birmingham for a couple of pints.Not the best decision I've made #travelchaos

Was the Christmas market open in the city centre?

Where is that? I used to live in witney, one day we must have had an inch at most and the place ground to a halt. Saw a friends fb this morning (she lives in uffington) and thought it would be like Armageddon
Didcot. We’ve had 3-4 inches and the A34 has been closed with vehicles abandoned. It doesn’t help they haven’t done an ounce of gritting, even though everyone knew this weather was coming.

Didn't get that far.Train I was on was supposed to go to Bristol but got terminated as line was closed.Obviously this would affect trains coming other way.Experience said get out of there ASAP.

snow bomb :eek::D:D

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/dec/10/hearts-melting-uk-2017-snowbomb-slushy-snow

They’re calling it the “snowbomb” or, if you’re reading the Express, the “Arctic snowbomb”. It’s like regular snow, except that it’s falling, totally unbidden, from the sky, so really it’s more like a bomb

Surprisingly clunkily-written article for the Guardian there, until you reach this bit, which is absolute poetry...

"The pressing practical impact is that Britain First had to cancel the Belfast rally it had planned for Sunday. The far right was defeated by snowflakes."

:lol:

No snow at all here, but it's -4°C outside.

There was a covering of snow in Newcastle last night though.

After all the warnings yesterday about bad snow fall. We decided to leave tyneside early to get home to Norfolk. How much snow did we see on the roads. Absolutely nothing, roads clear and light traffic.
