I'd like to say that's the difference, but come on man Grayson is f***ing awful and we'd be far better off if we had benitez.

I agree with the first part of the statement. Grayson is truly awful and I doubt he'd be any better had he spent £20-30m (I maintain this squad is good enough to be mid table and it's the manager who is 90% at fault) however I don't believe Benitez would be particularly effective as he's never had to manage a squad without investing heavily in it/ You'd like to think he could do no worse but I'm not sure he would be doing that much better. I take your point though, it's obvious that Benitez is better than Grayson. It's f***ing sickening to see the change in fortunes since May 2016

Dont think "Rafa" has had much to spend comparatively this season tbf.

But you're right, it isn't a fair comparison as Grayson isn't in Benitez's league.
 
I’d have Rafa like he wouldn’t come here though . They should get Morata and Ibra tho we can’t compete iirc .

the same team that was bankrolled in the summer, the squad all on here said would get ripped to shreds, the same squad i was scathing of and that Benitez needed to shut the fuck up and get on with it? well he rammed that up my arse, got on with it and is proving he can operate and improve a shit squad( on paper)

Rafa spent -32 million and still got us promoted (that's minus 32 million in case you missed it)
