He's trying to take some pressure off the players. Nowt more than that.
With the position we are in the players are under pressure, nothing SG says will change that. Only results will lift the pressure.

Well it's not f***ing workingHe's trying to take some pressure off the players. Nowt more than that.
He was also there for four years, not four months.
I do see that we're doing shite, of course. Who else are we going to get in? Everyone was screaming,"anyone but Moyes" and yet we've found someone worse after being knocked back by the f***ing Aberdeen manager. People don't want to come here. I said this at the time - our fans are probably going to be disappointed by the replacement.Whilst i agree that sacking the Manager after 4 months is not right, the way that we are playing, everything from tactics, to team selection to substitutions etc you can clearly see he is WRONG for the job, surely you DO see that? If we were playing with some sort of organisation but we weren't getting the results i would be all for giving him more time. He needs to believe in a formation and stick with it, but he's chopping and changing within 15 minutes into a game.

“The position will only become a worry when you’re still in it and it’s mathematically impossible to catch the teams above you,” said Grayson, who has guided his side to just one league victory from his 12 games in charge.
Our expectations ? We would be happy winning some games having something to cheer players with some passion. A decent league position would be a bonus. He’s dampening down our expectations. Short will be over the moon with these comments
Aaarrrrgggghhhh! He is the spawn of Moyes!
Allardyce may not have been everybody's cup of tetleys but he got the job done. I think you're probably right about the culture but I'm sure new ownership and a firm hand will sort out the slackers. They can't all be swinging the lead; although I sometimes wonder ...What that tells me is we've brought players in who don't give a fuck. That and the likes of Cattermole and O'Shea who've been here so long, they're used to losing. It doesn't hurt them enough. There's clearly a culture here that staying up is good enough, but standing still is deemed success. It needs to change before we'll move forward. I've seen plenty of players come in who look like they're up for the challenge then soon drop down to the rest of the squad's tempo.

I am glad he's not worried. Wouldn't want him to start pulling his hair out with worry. You must be logged on to see external links

SIMON GRAYSON claims Sunderland’s 1-1 draw with QPR was a ‘step in the right direction’ - WTF???
From those words it sounds that his ambition in this League is to finish above the bottom 3. What happened to his statements of "Every Managers desire should be to get to the Premier League"? Looks like he is trying to cover his tracks.
