Grayson: Not worried about being in relegation zone

He was also there for four years, not four months.

Whilst i agree that sacking the Manager after 4 months is not right, the way that we are playing, everything from tactics, to team selection to substitutions etc you can clearly see he is WRONG for the job, surely you DO see that? If we were playing with some sort of organisation but we weren't getting the results i would be all for giving him more time. He needs to believe in a formation and stick with it, but he's chopping and changing within 15 minutes into a game.

I do see that we're doing shite, of course. Who else are we going to get in? Everyone was screaming,"anyone but Moyes" and yet we've found someone worse after being knocked back by the f***ing Aberdeen manager. People don't want to come here. I said this at the time - our fans are probably going to be disappointed by the replacement.

Didn't Wilko say something similar??

I'm not sure which of the two is the bigger embarrassment to be honest. Fuck off Simon.

“The position will only become a worry when you’re still in it and it’s mathematically impossible to catch the teams above you,” said Grayson, who has guided his side to just one league victory from his 12 games in charge.

So he wont be worried if we're still in the bottom 3 on the last day so long as we can still catch someone above us?

And he's now publicly admitting that survival is all we are aiming for.

How is this fucker allowed to continue?

He should be worried and I'd imagine he is. Not that I think we're actually poor enough to be relegated but he hasn't got the defence organised, determined a formation, created an identity or got the results the squad should be capable of so he ought to be concerned.
That said, if he came out and said " this bunch are significantly shitter than I thought and we're quite possibly knackered" he'd get slated beyond belief as Moyes was so he can't win really.( and there in lies the problem- he can't get a win!)

What that tells me is we've brought players in who don't give a fuck. That and the likes of Cattermole and O'Shea who've been here so long, they're used to losing. It doesn't hurt them enough. There's clearly a culture here that staying up is good enough, but standing still is deemed success. It needs to change before we'll move forward. I've seen plenty of players come in who look like they're up for the challenge then soon drop down to the rest of the squad's tempo.
Allardyce may not have been everybody's cup of tetleys but he got the job done. I think you're probably right about the culture but I'm sure new ownership and a firm hand will sort out the slackers. They can't all be swinging the lead; although I sometimes wonder ...

I see a couple of old favourites getting an airing on here

Expectation and pressure.

There is none, just kick the ball, to a team mate, shoot at the goal and score two goals, whilst letting only one in, at the sol

Statues await for anyone achieving these onerous tasks

Firstly Short needs to stop handing out 3 year contracts to any Manager and certainly not 4 year contracts (Steele) to players. That is why we have the financial problems that we have now. I don't buy into this "People don't want to come her". SG like others before him knew that if they got it right at Sunderland they could achieve far more than they could at clubs like Preston.

He is a sandwich short of a picnic pun intended.

How can that clueless tosser Bain not see that he has not got a f cking clue

I am glad he's not worried. Wouldn't want him to start pulling his hair out with worry.

From those words it sounds that his ambition in this League is to finish above the bottom 3. What happened to his statements of "Every Managers desire should be to get to the Premier League"? Looks like he is trying to cover his tracks.

Or hes realised after a few months like every man and his dog (mackems) aside that the club is well and truly fucked without a pot to piss in and in a couple of years survival in the championship will become the new norm and seen as a successful season.
