It's clear to me that the club is a joke from top to bottom and simply changing the manager wasn't going to be a silver bullet that people thought it was going to be, as is evidenced by our complete lack of turnaround in a poorer league. So yes, I didn't buy in to the thinking that Allardyce had somehow magically fixed the club, like so many others do.Well Moyes was asked who he thought would do a good job ... And Larry has emulated Moyes with aplomb.
Surprise, surprise out of the frying pan into the fire. Iirc this Lonz chappy was all for giving Moyes more time when it was obvious to all he was as out of his depth as Grayson is. Should we give Moyes' clone more time?
For what it's worth though, I think Grayson should be doing better with what he's got. He doesn't have the track record Moyes did that gave me a bit more confidence that he was up to the job. That said, this isn't Grayson's team yet and he's not really been given any money to spend to turn it into the team he wants it to be. I don't think 10 games with a new group of players is really any great indicator of what a manager's capable of if they're given the time.
