Non League Football

Eh, much? Some. I can understand some of our southern supporters having an affiliation to Hartlepool but some on here are just saying it to try and wind up the Tyneside hordes that follow Sunderland.
Yes much of Sunderland’s support comes from County Durham.

It's amazin how we always kop this loads of support from outside of the town crap.
What well supported big city club doesn't have a large fan base from outside?
Look at your Man U's and Liverpool, the London are from all ower the place.
How many people from the strict city limits of Newcastle go to the match?
So they don't come in from Gateshead, Wallsend, Tynemouth, North Shields , Whitley Bay, Blyth, Ashington, Hebburn, Jarrow, South Shields, County Durham, Northumberland, The Tyne Valley?
Why is it that Sunderland always kops this?
I would hazard a gues that more people from Sunderland go to the match than do from Newcastle.

I'm from East Durham and the vast majority of my friends are Hartlepool fans (all from the town) but I was brought up SAFC. When I lived in the region I went to every Pools match I could providing Sunderland weren't at home. I still get to a few games on the rare occasion I'm back home (last for me was against Flyde).

Sure they'll be a lot of people with a similar background and affiliation to me.

Wonder how many of them were at Peterlee when the club was on its arse and needed them the most?

A Ford Fiesta full.

The other 2,500 are bandwagoners

very understandable why most mackems would be supporting hartlepool

they see shields as a much bigger threat to sunderland than hartlepool in the way of declining revenue and declining attendances

as one owner is bringing a club to it's knees another owner is creating hope and belief

it's the perfect storm really

onwards and upwards versus downwards and administration

choose shields

No Shields forum to go on to spout your anti Sunderland thoughts?

Ach no, just come on the safc forum instead, yer a f***ing prick

Not many on here are giving credit to a team that wins 50 out of 52 games and happens to be my hometown team. Increadable what Shields are doing. I've followed Sunderland since 1971 but watching Shields emerge has been my most satisfying moment in football. UTM

Shhh this won't go down well :)

Sunderland historically has been the major club in county durham. No change to tyne and wear for a couple of decades should distort that.

My birth cert says, Sumderland. County Durham.

One in the eye for the Geordie sandies.

Grown men, going on about supporting a FOOTBALL TEAM through thick and thin when it offers you absolutely nothing back in return and hasn’t for a long time and have the nerve to abuse people who think putting a few £££ into a Non League Club is more worthwhile. Pathetic.

It’s Ellis’ club, not yours.

Ha’way The Shields.
