More investigations for the mags from HMRC?

Ive got every one of them on ignore and can't understand why people engage them.
I had my fun with them, had them posting photos and all sorts on here. One of the thick fuckers honestly thought he knew who I was, posted what he thought was my name, he was wrong which resulted in a lengthy lay off from this forum, fuck knows how he got through those difficult times.

I'm guessing he's back now and living his sad life on here still pretending to have a family.

Aye I know.I could tell you were winding them up.Was funny thinking what they were saying.I just can't be arsed with them and have no interest in anything they say.

It's probably more wide spread than just the mags and whu.

Where there's money, there's corruption. And there's mountains of cash floating around the premier league.

Thankfully I can't see us being involved. Over the past 10 years the people in charge of our club have proved incapable of conducting deals above board - no way clever enough to conduct snide dodgy deals.

We had Big Sam for sis months!!

Bloody hell its like us and the mags are in a contest to be the next rangers!

Well let's hope that's another they win!

Can the F.A do that? They have the money to pay the tax bill unlike Rangers. Repay the money and then a fine on top.

There are two things going on, first of all will be the total amount of taxes which have been avoided which will need to be deduced and which might end up with a degree of extrapolation. If the estimate is determined that they've fiddled say £20M in taxes then thats the amount they will have to pay to HMRC. Plus in such a case of fraud a 100% penalty, so in this example that's taking us upto to £40M plus interest on the entire amount. Plus prison sentences for the directors of the time and potentially for anyone found to be acting as either a shadow director (Ashley) or a defacto director.

The Premier League can kick a club out of the PL and the FA can kick a club out of its entire league structure if certain rules have been breached.

This is all very well gary lad. And it really sounds as if you know what you're on about. Very interesting,

But it's all a bit too good to be true! Still the hopeless state we're in we might as well laugh at the daft sods while we can!

True and I'm absolutely biased as fuck and praying for the most severe possible outcomes. But if they end up being found guilty of defrauding HMRC out of millions of pounds then what I described above in terms of penalties and interest is fact. Earlier in the thread I've outlined the factors which determine the guidelines for any resultant custodial sentences. This is a criminal case, not civil.

The powers held by the pl and fa are also fact, what they choose to impose as a penalty is anyone's guess though I would have to concede that. As I said earlier in the thread I feel that the mags tick all of the boxes as the perfect sacrificial lamb.

This. The buggers hounded me for two years for four hundred quid I didn't owe them in the first place.
They charged me money for a taxable benefit that I never had and reduced my tax code because of it. Made me jump through so many hoops that it was easier just to let them have the money. Absolutely no sympathy when ai politely advised them that they had ficked up and asked them to reajust my tax code.

I deal with them day in day out and on the whole they are shocking

Nowt'll happen to them of any significance.
Don't waste any time praying they're going to be demoted.

Well, it's HMRC innit. Spent £6m investigating 'arry and couldn't prove owt.
Thats 1 case out of thousands probably hundreds of thousands. That means nowt. If they have evidence the mags are in the shit, big style. HMRC seem pretty confident to me

TBF the HMRC have a very good hit rate and have been given large funding, from the government, to pursue tax evaders.

Redknapp escaped a conviction mainly because of the testimony of Milan Mandaric who was also involved.

From memory the amount involved was a fraction of what NUFC may be responsible for.

HMRC won't want to risk another 'football failure' so will have taken great care with this case.

Failure would encourage more tax avoidance whereas success would frighten a lot of clubs.

My money is on a successful prosecution.

Also if the mags have nowt to hide, why did they appeal? Its like a drunk driver refusing to do a breath test

Ashley is as dodgy as they come and believes he can always talk his way out of things ..... this will be quite a test.

It makes me wonder if this is why he suddenly went from 'I'm here until we win a trophy' to 'I want out asap'.

The irony, of course, being that while this case is hanging over them, they're unsellable, to all intents and purposes.

I've only ever seen 2 TV interviews from Ashley.

One when he unequivocally pledged tha he was at NUFC until they achieved something worthwhile, the next when he stated he wanted out asap.

I've no doubt the first rumblings of a major tax fraud investigation were what prompted the 'white flag' interview.

There was no need for him to appear on TV advertising the club for sale ...... imo it was a rare sign of panic from the chubby chancer ;)
