More investigations for the mags from HMRC?

The wind appears to be blowing in the direction of a major criminal prosecution. The football authorities won't be ignoring that, like I say the mags would make the perfect sacrificial lamb.

This

Big enough club for other clubs to take note, but also a club that no one gives a shit about outside the North East.

Absolutely perfect for the fa to make an example of.

Points deduction and transfer ban, fingers crossed.

I also can't see anyone buying them with this hanging over their heads so hopefully I don't have to listen to them bleating on about some Arab buying them.

looks like from what I've read they have been very naughty along with nearly all of there foreign imports.

That article suggests it's much more serious than originally thought. I can genuinely see them being kicked out of the Premier League. You don't get a fine and slap on the wrist when it's "potentially" 10's of millions. We'll have a long time to wait to find out though

Payments to players and agents for image rights under the counter by Lambias & Charnley. Inflated fees and back handers, tut, tut. More to follow by all accounts and not just the scum..

It's probably more wide spread than just the mags and whu.

Where there's money, there's corruption. And there's mountains of cash floating around the premier league.

Thankfully I can't see us being involved. Over the past 10 years the people in charge of our club have proved incapable of conducting deals above board - no way clever enough to conduct snide dodgy deals.

Fatty himself is by no means out of the woods. HMRC might find evidence in emails etc which demonstrates Ashley acting as a shadow director, indeed Lambias and or Charnley might even say they acted on Ashley's instructions. If so then he could end up facing a criminal prosecution too. Many business owners probably believe they can avoid the culpability attendent to the fiduciary duties and responsibilities of being a director of a UK company, simply by not being a director themselves and appointing others to the key roles. When you own 100% of the company it's always going to be tricky to argue that you don't influence or instruct the directors. Ashley is a fiendishly smart operator though so he has probably boxed off these risks.

Don't spoil my fun
I'll nail the the f***ing lot of them

Relegation to League 2 is a real possibility, and a transfer ban. This on top of Lambias and Charnley sentenced to 3 years in prison

Who f***ing cares

Everyone who lives and pays taxes in the UK. Tax evasion costs our country massively more than benefit fraud for example and if everyone paid their dues we could properly fund our public services and properly reward our nurses and fire fighters for eg.

Why should multi millionaire footballers at NUFC pay less tax pro rata than someone on minimum wage PAYE?

Exactly mate, hope they throw the book at them.
