Reet. Arguing in the kip with the shortly to be be ex Mrs. Boots who doesn't like war films. I'm trying to explain that she's missing out.
My argument consists of, so far,
Come and See
The thin red line
Verdun
Cross of Iron.
For the love of our Lord Jesus Christ she's not f***ing having it.

Rocky IV

In all seriousness, Tigerland...

On a separate note, I’m well into Vietnam War documentaries at the minutes. What are decent Vietnam War moves with plenty action? FMJ is a bit pants after the training period.
Binged all The Vietnam War ones last week on my week off. Good watch if not slightly biased.

I've watched Apocalypse Now, but don't really get the hype.

I'd also recommend "Lust Caution" - Chinese resistance during WWII Japanese occupied Shanghai, directed by Ang Lee. Has a love story in as well which might help you convince her ;)

I also recommend Reach for the Sky, but for something that she can relate to why not try Carve Her Name with Pride, about a young widow with a daughter who is sent to France during the Second World War.

Another one would be Father Goose. I love this one personally. Then The African Queen, another personal favourite.

And finally, Heaven Knows, Mr Allison. All of them exceptional films and most women would enjoy them even if only for the romance aspect.

Edited, okay forget the love aspect and just enjoy the story!
