Simon Grayson - please go now. Cheers.

Did you expect us to be 2nd bottom at this stage?

Once I realised what the budget was (which blew my mind btw) I knew things would be a struggle....Grayson has done far better business than I expected and got players in that he has no right to get in on that kind of budget....

Im disappointed they have not gelled faster but not shocked given the injuries we have had and how late we got many of the players (and how late we lost others).

On the flip side I am looking at that squad and it looks pretty solid, it is a squad that I think in time will do really well...For me after several years of struggle and finally relegation was never going to be turned round overnight.....The Mags did it last year by chucking money at it, we sold like they sold but we spent like a league 2 side.

For me, we have made the same mistake time and time and time again....Its time we actually stuck with somebody long enough to see how things play out....Now is as good a time as any as in reality if he goes then we will be looking to league 1 and 2 managers next

Grayson said we will get better when players return. Vast majority of these are wide players. We shipped 5 at Ipswich.

People have talked of dropping Kone, I think they are 100% right.....Think Grayson was right to play him, he is potentially the best centre back in this division by a mile but his attitude is absolutely stinking....Perhaps a stint not playing and realising that a 36 year old JOS is preferred to him and that no other team is interested might focus that pricks mind.......He had his head turned by Everton and clearly now believes he is a £20 million player and we are beneath him....Time for him to be dealt a big dose of reality.

 Well done. And a nice distraction from the utter bollocks you've been posting

See you ignore the rest mind... not a surprise, you've been doing it all thread

You are like a child, if you had a coherent question I would respond to it but tbh you are all over the place.

Oh no, we cant possibly be critical of the fans, despite the fact that them turning on players, particularly at home has for many years been part of the problem...Players are shit scared of playing at the SOL as the boo boys turn on them at the first sign of a mistake......Its gone on for years.......Our fans can be the 12th man, they never shut up against the scum and never turn on the players, ironically we generally have good results against them....On the flip side when things are not going well you can see the players freeze as the groans from the stands meet every missed pass...

While fans can slag off the players as much as they want, they have their own role to play and to spout the bollox that "we pay are money so its ok to boo"......Well you are actually right but if that is what you choose to do then like fuck should you complain when those players are shit scared of playing at home and we struggle even more.

When a club is struggling like we are then EVERYBODY in the club needs to look at how they can improve things and where they might be playing a part in the struggle......Sadly fans seem to like to blame everybody else but if you suggest for one nano second they are part of the problem then all hell is unleashed.

Sorry like and I will get pelters for this but our fans are part of the problem, something that is a choice cause on their day they can be the difference between winning and losing.

I get what you're saying but I think an easier solution is to do better background checks on players and only sign those who are mentally strong and hard as fuck. Best atmosphere I've experienced at the SoL was under Reid and while there was some good football, his sides would be well up for a scrap. Don't care whether anyone agrees or not but Sunderland for me requires this kind of identity. Give me 11 Mic Harford's any day of the week. Win lose or draw you know that team would graft it's knackers off and terrorise the opposition. Nowt wrong with the crowd being a bit nasty imo, just get a team that matches it. Sorted.

Read the thread again...

You're continuously quoting me incorrectly.

You seem to be reading the thread and everything you disagree with you're attributing to me. I'm not the entire forum. Read the posts by "G Force". They're what I've posted. I've already had to mention this very simple fact to you. You're f***ing weird

Then stop wasting time replying to me mate, not being funny but replying to somebody who in your words is "weird" given its 12.30 at night is even more weird.....I just wouldnt bother if Im honest.

Careful, I've had this chat with bagpuss on Tuesday.

Set your clock for 3am

I should have listened to you hours ago

Then stop wasting time replying to me mate, not being funny but replying to somebody who in your words is "weird" given its 12.30 at night is even more weird.....I just wouldnt bother if Im honest.

If you keep accusing me of saying things then I'll respond thanks very much. Doesn't mean I don't think you're absolutely crackers ;)

If you can be arsed though, have a look through the thread and you'll realise you keep jumping on me for things I haven't said. Of course I'm going to reply to that.

No harm done though, we've both been on here for years and you've always seemed to be a decent poster. For some reason though tonight you just seem to have taken umbrage

I'm not the enemy ;)

Absolute horseshit.

I do and at times we are shit but you know what, when the groans and slagging off from the stands starts (normally about 10 to 15 mins) we get a whole lot worse.....Look how many times this year reports at home say

"Sunderland started brightly but couldnt capitalise"......Aye, cause thats about the time they start getting abuse.

Dont care what job you are in or how much you are paid, if you are being abused by those watching your performance then you will struggle to perform at your best.

So the OP has took his words out of context then, he's having a go at the armchair fans not the actual fans who go to the matches.

“On the other side of it there are a lot of supporters who have done that and they’re entitled to voice their opinion, but we have to positive in everything we are looking to do.”

Isn't Grayson just a hypocrite? Says that the fans that do travel have the right to criticize but do it in a positive way. So they can complain, so long as they say nothing bad!!

Good, reasoned post but I disagree with most of it. The squad has no heart and that's no surprise when shirkers like Rodwell and Kone plus out of their depth journeymen like Vaughan, Steele and Matthews are being selected. Graysons squad is awful with a few bits of quality like mcgeady, mcmanaman and watmore when fit. He isn't up to this job although I accept it's a poor situation and you can only fear what decision the footballing know nowts short and bain come up with as a replacement.

Spot on. It is possible, there's sides at the top now, who are no better than us

They have spirit - we don't-that's why they are better than safc at the minute.
