Malcolm Marshall for me. Watched him in 1984 v England and couldn't believe what I was seeing, as a kid obsessed with trying to bowl fast, he was an amazing role model to try and emulate.

Didn't have a single one.

Maybe when I was a young'un .. Illingworth, Knott

the Randall, Gower then nothing much until Colly for England and especially Colly for Durham.

Sir Ian Botham

Also Paul Coughlin, Scott Borthwick, Shaun Birbeck, Jimmy Daley & Graeme Welch. All Eppleton CC players who have gone on to play 1st Class Cricket.

I have a massive massive affinity to Strauss's team as I watched them a lot home and abroad

Fantastic side and the players from that team don't get the credit they deserve. Some do but people like Bell, Prior, Trott, Strauss massive unsung heroes and team men

Also Jimmy Adams.

Not just a superb cricketer but one the nicest most honourable people you could wish to meet. Stayed life long friends since the days of playing with him at Eppleton CC.
