Never said it wasn't his role!! But basic defending is the players role, and they are shit at it

Why is the defence so bad? I keep torturing myself with this question. Especially when we play such a defensive midfield as well.

I can understand any argument about us being attackingly slow and inept. But I do honestly do believe we have the resources to be tight at the back.

And this is what is annoying and frustrating me.

How on earth you can deduce we are at the bottom of the curve after getting smashed by Ipswich is totally beyond me. We cannot win at home and are easily beaten away. Recipe for total capitulation and relegation unfortunately.

They are all capable players who have the ability to perform in this league. Excel in fact. The managers training, tactics and leadership have to be questions. Everyone is accountable but he is the leader, he is paid to manage and ensure the team is pulling together as one.

Everyone we have assembled in that team has been chosen because they where cheap and had cheap wage demands. That's manager down over. You don't often get quality for cheap, not unless it's young lads coming through.

High press? Stand off? Zonal marking? Man to man? All things a manager instructs not the players.
 
It's not all doom and gloom. We have scored more than the team around us but we do have a poor defensive record. If we can tighten up at the back we will climb the table, plenty of season left. Haway.

I more or less agree. Maybe your timing was a little off. You should have allowed the meltdown to cool off for a day or two.
