Iirc most people wanted them sacked in here, when he decided to sack them. It has gone sour now, but I will admit Short was good for the club and did good things for us.
 

I was thinking this till I read grumpys posts. the finance company sbc are owed the most money and would in charge of appointing the administrators. They have security of the stadium aol and could completely cripple the club. They will not have any reason to keep football interests as their main priority

I don't care how much money he has put in or covered if he had ran our club properly in the first place he and the club wouldn't be in such a bad position
 
I think some people are missing the point. Short bought our club because he wanted to, no one forced him he wasn't a long term fan and didn't have safc tinted glasses. Again some people on here would have us believe that short was the only man willing to buy the club and his charity has kept us happy and we should be grateful because this great America bussiness man took an interest in little old Sunderland....however think of this, he bought the club because he seen the fact it could make him money, we had a massive fan base, we had a large modern stadium, we had a top training academy we were in the premiership with all the money and trappings that brings.

Short has had every chance to make this club a succuss, but he's massively failed, the club is in worse shape now than when he took over. It would take me all day to list the massive mistakes which many would have seen other leave the club along time ago. And now We could be heading for league 1, yet some on here still won't admit they backed the wrong man.. If those who still want to support short are real sunderland fans..I'll ask you one question..do you support the club or the owner ?

quite right. It was just another investment project which ultimately hes made a mess of. He may well have pumped money in, but at the same time our debt is mainly to him and hes pulling what money he can out of the club and leaving us to rot.

he has fuck all intention of investing in a first team and he is leading us towards a massive struggle his year.

right now he is a cancer at our club and there is absolutely no defending him with the current mess we are in.

That's exactly what's happened mate. For a lot of Short's reign we've essentially got a cheap version of the managers first choice.

More than the managers, it was the charlatans at the DoF or equivalent level he also trusted......whom it could be argued were unqualified for the role (one at least).

The problem is, his mis-management made it very likely that all of that investment was wasted.
That's HIS fault. He can't claim to be the amazing benefactor, when he fucked things up at every turn and had to repeatedly pay to correct his mistakes, only to then go ahead and make even more.

Short has employed knacker after knacker, hes only got himself to blame. How much did Maggy Bryne take out the club?, nearly a 1 million pound severence after the Johnson fiasco. How many DOF's have we had? how many managers? how much of a turnover of playing staff.

Until that big eared c u n t is gone we will never move forward.
