I visit Stokes a bit, Villa and Owls Talk. This is definitely the best forum out there IMO. Layout, general football content, easy to use, number of posters etc.

GOT was actually letting me browse the Everton stuff there but when you go on to world football bit and our dedicated thread like I did the other day, it brings up this message

There's a few like that. Fleetwoods iirc when I was trying to see their reaction to the draw when we played them the other year.

You can probably put the popularity of this forum down to there not being competing forums of note against it. This place established itself before anyone else could start up in parallel andin competition to it and it is linked also to the main club fanzine website, A Love Supreme, so people navigate here from that.

Black Cat Chat, From the Banks, One Sunderland (I think this is defunct now) and others were all started by individuals or small groups of fans. The club itself had a forum on the SAFC website, which it later shut down despite being reasonably popular. Perhaps they didn't like the fans on it telling them the truth.

The fans of other clubs are fragmented over a number of forums, so only a few of them say with the so-called big clubs see the same traffic levels as here.

I can see a small number of usernames are the same as those on the old 1990s Usenet forum alt.sports.soccer.sunderland , more popular before message boards took over and also more popular than other clubs' Usenet forums. I'm guessing a small nucleus of people moved over from there giving this place a more lively feel, allowingit to beat the competition before it got going.

This. I signed up to a Coventry one but was sharp banned. Sometimes have a skim but as you say they’re all the same. Shite.
 
Why bother? This whole board covers every subject there is, and often breaks news quicker that media outlets.

Anything you can think of, gets a reply that someone knows.
 
Wasn't there a Luton Town forum where basically all there thugs posted?

Someone I know posted on there back.during the Roy Keane era and got threatened with being "cut".
