This is precisely the point.

I've been going for about fifty years and won't be bothering any more in a hurry, if at all. Football generally has more or less lost me, never mind our lot.

But I talk to young lads, including my own and I have never before heard the things I hear now. They are alienated, feel lied to, are turning away and some will never return.

A club can get away with losing people who have come and supported for fifty years, (not that they seem in the least bit bothered mind), but when you lose the young brigade, then that club will face a problem of a dimension it shows little signs of being able to comprehend, never mind solve.

No one is being reached out to as far as I can see.
